Candlelight Processional Dining package 2017 Watch -partial Narrator list updated Aug 25th

Will they give you your performance time when you book the package reservation? How long is it?

Has anyone ever had any luck being seated with people who didn't buy into the package? Ex. say I book a 5:30 CP pkg for 4 for my immediate family and my parents book a 5:30 non package ADR at the same restaurant for a party of 6. Obviously, a restaurant like Biergarten with their big tables or a restaurant like Marrakesh with lower popularity would boost our odds of success with this. Just wondering if anyone has done it. I mean, I'm sure we're not the first family where only part of the group wants to do CP. Of course, our options for trying this may be drastcially limited if they don't release more non-pkg ADRs.

Is there usually a heads up about when the packages will be available to book, ie Disney will announce the information and then say something like "packages will be available to book starting ..." or will the packages just show up in the system one day without any warning?

Probably just like the Frozen Illuminations Dessert Party a few days ago - I saw them show up available and an Blog announcement within 5 minutes of each other.

In December of 2015 we had a CP package booked at Chefs of France. Unfortunately I had gotten a very bad respiratory infection & was not up to either a big meal or staying at the park to see the show. When we were seated I asked the waitress if we were obligated to actually buy the package or if we could skip the package & just do a regular meal. There was no problem just ordering & paying for a regular dinner. I actually just had soup while DH had a 3 course meal & we were fine, just charged regular price for everything.

I wonder if you could just make your CP adr for all 6 then ask for separate checks with only 4 of you getting the package? That way you can be sure to sit together & just in case your parents change their minds, they can still get the tickets too.

This definitely seems like the easiest approach to this problem. We also have my brother and his family joining us...both of their children have special needs and are young (1 and 5). We want to eat together as we don't see each other often, but they definitely don't want to do the package. Still, this would give my parents the last minute option in case they decide to go with us. It's also probably easier on the CMs not having to put together two parties at check in. Thanks!

After doing some research to prepare for CP dining reservation day... I find myself struggling to pick a definite time frame. My family is hoping to grab a CP dining reservation at The Garden Grill, but not sure what time would be best. We have a 2:30 lunch reservation at Biergarten Restaurant, so I would like enough time to pass for us to be hungry again. I am also wanting to watch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. What suggestions does anyone have for the best time to make my CP dining reservation? A good time where my family can enjoy dinner, Candelight Processional, & IllumiNations :)
I think your only option is to have a very early breakfast at Garden Grill (unless you are willing to change your other reservation to a later time).

This sounds like a better plan than what I had, which was to book 2 reservations - 1 with the package and one not. My Mother In Law would love to go and can't really wait in the long line, but my special needs son cannot handle the volume of shows (even with ear coverings) and I am not interested in the Candle Light Processional at all. DH can go with MIL and my son & I can do something else.
