Possible Fall Discount at the Fort

There is a new Enchanted Summer Offer that says save 20% at the Fort for dates between Aug 1- October. However, when I put in my dates in August and other weeks it won't let me choose the Campsites. I doubled checked the offer multiple times and it says Campsites. The Fort is also not listed on the exclusions. Hopefully someone is able to get it for their dates!

That is encouraging! I wonder too! We have a campsite for December 18-27th. Never have gotten a discount on the campground...

Seems sort of like a mistake. When I picked some random dates in October, the cabins were on the drop-down menu, even though they weren't listed as part of the offer on the left. I'd guess it's supposed to be the cabins, instead of the campsites.

You could certainly be right. It is just weird that it isn't listed in the exclusions. When I put in my dates it says it is eligible for the Enchanted offer but the prices are the same.

The cabins fall under the Moderate and are listed in the promotion. What I found interesting is that on the site (not mobile) it's a bit differnt.

Note that there is NO discount for 8/1 through 8/31 and that the other dates are just listed as "Stays Most Nights" without a date range specified. There, the campsites are showing a Discount.

Sadly we can't stay at either of those times this year, but it would be worth investigating.

I will say that Last year they had a discount offered something similar but we couldn't get it, so I called. It was basically a screw up and they corrected the website. :(

The screen shot above does show a 20% discount for September for the campsites "most nights" which has also been offered the last two years for the same time frame. Obviously it won't include Labor Day weekend.

Last year it was part of the "sometime in August" to "sometime in October" offer but it turned out to be just "part of September" for campsites. Also just because there is a vacancy for a cabin or campsite during this time frame, that doesn't mean the discount can be applied to it.

Looks like POFQ is the same way.

But this has been the ONLY discount offered on campsites to the general public since AAA went away.

Hmm. We are booked from September 26th to October 6th already. If this is a true discount, I wonder if we can apply it to our existing reservation.

So, if I already have a package I've started paying for, is there any way to apply this discount? It's not much, but $60 is two table service meals!

Call and ask them. Technically speaking you Could "Cancel" your reservation and re-book it with the discount. Of course that means you run the risk of losing the reservation altogether. A good CM may be able to save you the hassles. If the first CM you get doesn't help you.... Call back and try again for another CM. :)

Doesn't hurt to try.

I needed to be signed up for the dining plan to get the discount. That's probably a given, but im a newbie!

What!! Are you going in September. I thought it was RO and didn't require anything extra. Interesting.
Well, that's what Rayleen told me was "one of the requirements." And then she tried to upsell me with Bibbidi Bobbidi and more ADRs and Memory Maker (which I had already signed up for, she was selling hard!) I figured it was too good to be true for me, we are doing this whole thing as cheaply as we can :)
Yes, we ARE going in September, starting the 26th.

Was this for an existing reservation? I'm trying to call now but of course all circuits are busy. Free dining dropping this week has made everything crazy.

No it was a new reservation. I had to arrive on labor day and leave on Sunday. When I changed the dates the discount glitched. Six nights were $311.22.

I wanted to do free dining but 90% of our vacation budget is non Disney this year. Camping, swimming and watching fireworks from resorts will be our Disney thing this year :)

I was able to see the discounted room only sites for my mid-September dates, but Preferred and Premium sites were not included.

And interestingly, the total cost of the trip if I would have rebooked to a new reservation on a Premium site was $300 more than my current reservation.

I'm planning on booking for late August. Just tried to see if a discount was available, and it does say that the Magical Escape Room Offer is available for all campsites. It's not much, though. I usually book a full hookup and it says I'll save an average of $1.28/night with the discount. Really Disney?

I do the math on the discounts first. The discounts usually require you to buy a "Magic Your Way" ticket and usually requires the Hopper. I can get Tickets at a SIGNIFICANT discount, coupled with the ability to pay with Disney Gift Cards from Sams Club at an about 5% discount, the offer has to be REAL compelling for me to jump on it.

I guess those discounts are more for the person who isn't willing to do a little leg work to save some money. That, however, is NOT me. (Calculator in hand...)
