Reunion Resort?

Hi All--I am researching a possible stay at Reunion Resort. I read that the pools (except the 2 main ones) are not heated. Will the water be too cold in early April without a heated pool? :cold:

We primarily stay at Disney (DVC) or Orange Lake so this researching a place to stay is new to me.

We will be mostly relaxing this trip, possibly a SeaWorld visit. 2 families, 4 kiddos, we would need 3 BR.

Any other feedback about this resort? Or any others that you have had a good experience with?

TIA

Krissy

We like the Reunion Resort. We find it quiet and relaxing when compared to the Disney Resorts. It's perfect for a relaxing trip with a little bit of theme park time thrown in! We like the space and upscale feel to the resort. It's our go-to resort for family trips.

We have only ever used the Seven Eagles Pool and the Waterpark, so I do not know about the other pools. Those pools are nicely heated, and we like that both have pool/bar service, so our pool days do not require having to leave the pool for meals/drinks. That being said, they do inspect bags at the waterpark, and they will graciously offer to hold any food/drink you are sneaking in with you (with the exception of baby bottles/food). At the Seven Eagles pool, we were allowed (or at least not stopped from bringing) a cooler of cokes and water

In early April, you would need pool heat. The days are warm, but the evenings are cool, and there is still not enough sunlight to heat a pool and keep it warm naturally.

We have stayed at Reunion Resort 4 times and obviously love it! We have visited the first week of May and first week of October and never had a issue with the pools being too cold to use. Some are warmer than others depending on size/depth. When you are a guest at the resort you are free to use any of there pools so sometimes we spend a day pool hopping. The waterpark is small but fun but you need to have a guest pass and pay extra.

What we like most about Reunion is the proximity to I-4, access to Publix/shopping/restaurants nearby and mostly having a 3 bd/2 bath/full kitchen/2 decks to stretch out in. We've never encountered crowds there and usually have the pool to ourselves mot afternoons. The grounds are meticulously kept and units very clean/up to date. It also is very quiet.

Thanks! It sounds like just what we are looking for.

Does anyone know if the pool has towels available or do we need to bring our own?

We loved Reunion I can't give you any advice about the pools because we had a pool at the house that we end up getting it heated but it was January.

Depends. If you are renting through an owner/VRBO/property management company, etc. they will state in their ad if beach towels are available in condo for use. All the units we've stayed in have always provided 4 towels. When we went to waterpark they were available for use. Most pools are do not have anyone on duty poolside so you'd need to bring your own.
