How many days would you spend at Universal Hollywood?

We did Universal Orlando last year and enjoyed 3 partial days and could have done more.

How does Hollywood compare to Orlando? I realize Orlando is two parks, and Hollywood is just one.......

Thanks. :)

You don't mention when.

I agree with Tink; 2 days is ideal. Yes, it can be done in one. But for us, we
like to take our time and enjoy the days. And we like to see several things twice.

I think one full day is enough, or maybe two if you want to see everything (all shows, all rides, etc) and take a more relaxed approach.

Would being there for 2 and a half days be to much? I can buy season passes from Costco for cheaper than buying a 2 day pass so we were thinking of spending the last day before we fly out there as well instead of spending it somewhere in town.

we also found it was cheaper to buy an AP versus a 2 day ticket. We are staying 3 nights at the Hilton -figured we'd go first thing in the morning each day, leave after a few hours, then spend the afternoon visiting with friends or doing something else in the LA area. Plus you get dining discounts in Citywalk w/ the AP so it's an even better value for us given we'll be staying there.

We are also staying at the Hilton. Didn't realize we would get discounts at Citywalk with the AP but thats even better!

You absolutely do not need more than one day at Universal Hollywood. Maybe two if you're feeling really generous, absolutely must see all of the shows, or love doing attractions over and over and over and over again.

Speaking of attractions, this is the other piece that no one has really mentioned: The Studio Tour is more or less the only thing in California that is not also in Florida, give or take a few shows. Chances are you've already done almost all of the other rides already. Mummy is different, Jurassic Park is arguably better, everything else is more or less exactly the same.

Transformers (named the best Amusement/Theme Park attraction in the World by multiple groups) is only at USH (well, also Japan). Water World is USH only (also Japan), the Simpson Land is unique, Super Silly Fun Land is another USH only. And then "The Walking Dead" is another unique USH attraction.

Funny since when visiting Universal Studios Hollywood as a kid the studio tour (and stunt shows) is all I remember, and to me that is universal and why I want to go again (plus Harry Potter stuff for my son,). Didn't even know they had rides until recently.

Transformers is also open in Florida now, and they do have a version of Springfield there as well. Super Silly Fun Land looks like it's just a play area, which I'm sure is great for children and families, but it's still just a play area. Waterworld is a fantastic show, but not so fantastic as to merit travelling to USH by itself. I admit I did not know about Walking Dead, is that essentially the new version of House of Horrors? Sounds like a decent upgrade.

I'm not saying that these things aren't good attractions, but many of them are in Florida and I still don't think USH merits more than one day. It's not a bad park by any means. But someone that just came from Orlando is going to find a whole lot of repetition and exact copies in a much smaller space.

I have done transformers in Fla before and it was a blast. I loved the Simpsons area in Fla also. I cant wait to check out Universal hollywood!!!! I am super excited.

For me, one whole day would be enough because I can't do most of the rides there. If you get dizzy or nauseated on Star Tours, than the rides at USH may not be for you, either
