It's A Small World - A Never-ending Pre-trip Report

I was very far behind over here, and now you're on the ship! I saw the sail away photo on FB! Have a great time!

and now you're on the ship!

Unfortunately by now I am not only off the ship, but also back home. Still, the next trip will arrive soon enough.

Have a great time!

We had an amazing time.

Can't wait to hear more.

This may not happen this side of Christmas. I will have a couple of mad weeks ahead of me and by then it is nearly Christmas.

:bday:Happy Burthday Corinna! Hope you are having a great day! :bday:

Thanks. I had a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday!!!! Hope you've been having an amazing trip! :)

Thanks. We did.

I'm sorry, that's never fun.

I am actually quite looking forward to going back, but I start at 1:30 and have a one to one with one of my team members at 1:30. So I have no time really to prepare or even to check my emails. I think I have three one to ones tomorrow.

That's wonderful you're looking forward to going back. Hopefully one day I'll find a job that I feel this way about.

Glad you made it safely home. And I'm glad it will take a little bit for you to get organized on the TR! I'm reading way more than I can handle right now and I'm hoping a couple might be wrapped up by the time you get started.

Enjoy your back to work time!

I am incredibly lucky that I work with an amazing group of people.

You are safe for now. I have not even looked at the Memory Maker photos, still have a ton of other photos to upload and the grand total of trip report typed so far runs to three paragraphs.

Enjoy your back to work time![/QUOTE

Thanks, fortunately yesterday went swimmingly.

There is not a great deal to report on the planning front. I really need to get to it as my ticker tells me that we have just over 4 months until the next cruise and I have not really looked into this at all. I supposed the next step is getting our e-visa for Australia. I will try to sort this out before the year is out. Then in the new year, we will seriously look at excursion options.

I did call Royal Caribbean this morning to get our dining arrangement changed. We are currently booked for late traditional dining. We loved My Time Dining so much on the Navigator that I called them to get changed to this. Unfortunately they were only able to put us on a waitlist for now. Please keep your fingers crossed for us that this will come through.

Speaking to them was a completely different experience from my previous interactions with them. During our last cruise, we accumulated enough points to become Platinum and with the welcome email for our new status, they gave us a direct phone number for the Crown and Anchor Society. The guy I spoke to seemed to be so much more knowledgable that the people I have spoken to on the general reservation line.

While we were away on our holiday, another trip evolved a little. During our cruise, information about next year's Run Disney event at Disneyland Paris came out. We always planned to do this again, but next year they will add a 10k to the 5k and the half marathon. The 5K will take place on the Friday evening and will only include Walt Disney Studios as far as the parks are concerned. The 10K will be Saturday morning and will go through both parks. I am intending to do the 5K and the 10K. I hope I can get in. At the moment you can only get entries as part of a package, which is of no interest to us. Bib only entries will open some time in the spring. If all goes according to plan, I will have done another 5K and my first 10K before this so this will just be more of the same for me.

The last news is about a trip in autumn in next year and this is still in the very early planning stages. At one stage we were looking into a Mexican Riviera cruise on the Wonder at the beginning of October. Our friend Sue in California pointed us in that direction and mentioned that they may be able to join us. I responded straightaway with which date would work best for us and that we would be up for this. I never heard back. In the meantime, the value of the Pound plummeted and the cruise was no longer attractive from a financial point of view. We had been looking at a number of alternatives, but the leave I have left after our big trip in April is limited. We did find a cruise that is interest to us. This is another Royal Caribbean cruise, which is a repositioning cruise from Cape Liberty, Bayonne, New Jersey to Galveston, Texas. On the way, the cruise stops at Labadee, Hahiti; Aruba, Bonnaire, Curacao, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Costa Maya and Progresso, Mexico. I were in Aruba in 2011, before I learned to snorkel and I always wanted to go back. I really hope that this will work out.
