We will be leaving tomorrow and heading over to Maui for the next week. We have LOVED the Grand Villa! We are here with our son, daughter, son-in-law and grandson. I think we have enjoyed the space and being together in one unit the most. The villa is beautiful. The balcony is amazing. We are on the top floor so the view is ocean front and spectacular. Definitely worth the points. We have stayed in a beach cottage (grand villa) at Vero Beach and loved that too.
We were able to check in at 8:00 am! That was such a bonus. We were even given a choice of villa location. So at least two grand villas were not reserved the night prior. My husband and I were staying at the Ko Olina Marriott for 5 days. So we moved our things in and provisioned the villa prior to picking our kids up from the airport.
I tried to do a Dis search regarding the "washlet" in the Grand Villa. It is the toilet in the master bath. I have seen these before, but I have never used one. The principle is similar to a bidet. The seat is heated and when you sit down a downdraft fan automatically turns on. (Helps eliminate odors.) There are buttons to choose to clean back or front. Then a fan comes on to dry you off! Pretty fancy!
