Starting aug 28 you can take one way buses to Disney springs from the theme park and walk back to your resort. Just joking you can take a bus to any Disney resort from their. I think it start at 4 and end at 11 or 2 hours after park close which ever ealier.

So hope this helps to sum up and help my rambling aug 28 you can take buses to Disney springs from the theme park. But you can't go to the theme parks from Disney springs.

That is great news. i sure hope it happens. I wanted to go from MK to DS one night and then head back to my resort. I was facing a double bus with a change. Now hopefully I can just catch the one bus when I visit in early September.

Yep - I agree. This has been needed for a while! :) Those of us with a shopping problem, er habit, will certainly welcome it! LOL

And in case anyone is wondering - the reason you can't bus directly from Disney Springs to a Theme Park is to help discourage folks from parking in the DS garages all day while they go to the Parks.

To avoid paying the parking fees charged at the theme park parking lots.

1) You could ALWAYS go to/from your resort and DTD (now, DS).
2) Now, to get people to spend, and spend, and spend, they are offering a ride from the parks to DS . . . after 4:00pm.

Previously she would have had to go back to her resort and pick up a second bus to DS. This way it's direct, less time on the bus, and less chance for the guest to decide once they get to their resort that they can't be bothered going anywhere else. It's a very smart move for Disney to get people to DS to spend more money. I'd certainly take advantage of it.
