Magical Express Tags

Hi! Sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

I was just notified that my Magic Bands have shipped (YAYYY!!!!).... when the Magical Express tags ship, will that also be noted on MDE or will they just appear one day?
 
I didn't get any notification but I got my ME tags before the magic bands a week or so ago.
 
No DME info shows up on MDE.
But as a PP stated I too received my DME yellow tags prior to receiving my magic bands.
You may want to contact Disney just to check up on this.
 


Ok, thanks. According to the tracking info, my MB's are set to arrive tomorrow so I doubt I'll receive my DME tags (but MAYBE!).
This is my first trip (since i was 7, so basically my first trip haha) so I'm not really sure what to expect. I have planned this thing to death haha but the few things that I have no control over, I'm unsure about.
 
I'd call our DME tags arrived a couple of months ago and our magic bands arrived last week.

Enjoy you're obviously close to your trip!

DME usually arrives first, i would just double check with disney. have a great trip!
 
We have gone three times this year and no longer received a ME tag. It was loaded into our MB and we just scanned our wrist before boarding. Still call to be certain and for peace of mind. I noticed other people in this thread say they received their ME tags earlier than MB too. We are going on the Disney Dream in three weeks. Our documents came but there is just a page in the book that confirms we have ME---no tags. There is a barcode on the outside of our document book that can be scanned. I think it will show we have ME when they check us in. Again, I'm not sure why some people get tags and some don't. Hope this helps =) Have a great trip!

I feel like you're talking about something different.

We are talking about the yellow baggage tags that have your name and resort on them that you put on at your departure airport so that when you land at MCO CM's know to take your luggage.

That is different from the DME voucher that you receive to show that you reserved DME.
I believe if you have your MB you don't need that voucher they send you. At least I have not needed it since MB's came out in 2013.

You're correct--i was thinking of something else. Our luggage tags have always been in the document package we receive a few weeks before our MB arrives. Sorry for the confusion = )
 
Mine arrived with my documents about 2.5- 3 weeks before my trip :) We leave Saturday- SO excited!
 
Walking into the airport terminal with that BRIGHT YELLOW luggage tag....it's like a badge of honor! Those who know....KNOW! I'm staying at Coronado Springs next week and just received my tags. I have no plans on checking a bag, but it was still exciting!
 
I would call and ask. Our last trip we never received our magical express tags, so we had to get our own luggage which was not fun!

You don't have to get your luggage yourself if you don't get the luggage tags. Just give your claim checks to the DME desk.

Yes we were aware of that just didn't completely feel confident in doing that so we made the choice to pick up our own luggage. Sadly we wouldn't have had to make a choice if we had received the luggage tags in the mail :(

Totally true! I've even had people stop me and ask where we're staying, if it's our first time, etc. People get so excited to see others getting ready to have a magical trip because they know those experiences/feelings!
