Airmiles Armchair Chatter

If I redeem airmiles for a one day parkhopper, will I be able to link it on MDE? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Anyone who has booked flights with Airmiles on Porter for flights to the USA.

When and where did you enter all your passport information as well as the hotel you're staying at. The website (Porter) says to go into manage bookings and then passengers and modify the information there. As I booked through Airmiles it won't allow me access to that part of the bookings management. Do I just wait and do it when I check in for my flight? Is this something that will open up to me a month out from my flight?

I just sat on hold with Airmiles for 45 minutes and gave up. Porter won't talk to me because I booked through Airmiles. Help!

It has been years since I last booked a flight through AM, but did you get a confirmation email from AM? And if yes, is there a 6 letter/number code anywhere? If yes, then that is likely to be the Porter confirmation code and with that you can log into your Porter account online and add that booking.

Attached screen shots to show you where you can do this in case you need them!

After you log in, it should take you right to your dashboard. From there, click on My bookings and you will see something that looks like this:
Porter bookings.jpg

Then, click on Can't find your booking here? and you should see this:

Add booking.jpg

That should enable you to add the booking to your account and then take care of all the administrative things.

Hope that helped!

Hi Hon
I just wanted to check in with you to see how you and Hubby are doing.?
I remember when my Dad had his quad bypass surgery ,,,oh about 35-40 years ago.... one of the first in Toronto at the time.
The stress on my mom was high but they worked through it.
Then off to see the world they went ,,many holidays and they built a new home in Texas.
The surgery was truly life saving for him.
He did have irritation along the scar whenever it got cold outside ,,now this could be true or it was his excuse to retire down south where it was warm.
Wishing you all the best

Hugs Mel

This is what I get when I do all those steps. Even though I added my Porter # when I booked it wasn't on the Porter system as such. Now it is. I think the section I need is Update Passenger Details and it won't let me in there. I'll have to call Airmiles again. I don't want to give Airmiles the Passport info over the phone (it will get screwed up for sure). I may just have to wait for check in to add all the info.

I finally found out how to do it. Thanks, not sure I can figure it out again I just kept digging until I got it. Information is all added now. One less thing to think about later.

Thanks Mel! It's been two weeks today since the surgery. It is amazing how efficient they are with this surgery these days. It is very common place. Scars are all healing very nicely. He is up and about and following his exercise regimen. He's not allowed to drive for six weeks but oh well. It was incredibly stressful for me since it was just an out of the blue thing that we didn't expect since he has no family history, doesn't drink or smoke, is average weight and we eat reasonably. He'd been on cholesterol meds for about 25 years. Dr. figures the high stress job is what did it.

Anyways, we have really altered our eating routine (which was very normal) and pay close attention to the sodium and fat content in everything. No more grocery store pastries and prepared foods. It's a lot of work but we'll see if it makes any difference!

My smaller online purchases have posted, so I have enough AM for the SeaWorld tickets for next year. I sent confirmation for that and we'll see how long they take to arrive.

My larger TSC purchase has not posted and I worry I'll have to fight on that one. But it's a lot of AM so I will fight for those! Still waiting on a bunch of little ones to post too, hopefully they'll post soon I guess. Now what to save for...

I made a TSC purchase yesterday and the AMs are posted already. They posted the same day although it must have been overnight because they didn't show last night before bed. Even the bonus miles are there.

Ok I am posting this because it is a lovely bag with so many pockets and zippers. One zip one for Pasport and a deep zip water proof on on the inside. It has a part that slides over your carry on luggage.
Just love it!
it is 25% off on Amazon right now.

I love that! Really wish I had seen it a few days ago. I just purchased a Heys Puffer backpack, which I do not love, but wanted something that would slide over my luggage. The KYSS bag I use for travel now doesn't have that option and it's a pain to carry that and pull luggage. If it wasn't such a bother to return the Heys, I would. Put this in my wish account and maybe one of my boys will see it some day and surprise Mama.
Let me know how it works out after you use it.

We are having the BEST BIRTHDAY WEEKEND EVER!!
There's no need to go inside a park to get a nice picture!
1700965893254.png

But if you want to snag one of these you will make a mad dash down main-street, deftly avoiding people lining up to watch the 3 o'clock parade
1700965983195.png
Then we took a boat over to have Dole whips on the beach at the Poly, stopped at the Grand Floridian to get some gingerbread OMG so so so many people we turned and left! Went to dinner at the Contemporary and now we're resting up before one more day of blissful nothingness!
Look, he lights up even!
