You have to go on vacation somewhere less than 3 hours away drive from your home , where would you go?

3 hours drive gives me a big stretch of the California Coast as options, to the east, Yosemite. Too many options to choose.

California absolutely rules for day trips. We lived in Sunnyvale for a few years in the late 90s......we took so many road trips on weekends.

Last few years my wife have been doing day trips, some actually overnight trips just to state parks.

If I'm only going somewhere 3 hrs. away, I'll just stay home in Cincinnati. I already have Kings Island, the zoo, museum center, FC Cincinnati soccer (1st place) and of course the Reds (also 1st place).

I guess if I had to drive somewhere, maybe Lexington, Ky to see the Ky. Horsepark or Louisville, Ky to see at Bats game and the Louisville Slugger museum (again).

We live around 3 hours to the beach as well as 3 hours to the mountains. Both are easy trips for long weekends.

:rolleyes1I guess I’ll say Banff, but honestly, for the price of a stay/activities there, I could (and would) book a week at a Caribbean AI or take a trip to Disneyland.

New Brunswick, maybe? Three hours north or west puts me in the willie-whacks of either Maine or NH, and 3 hours south puts me in southern Maine, where we travel to visit family quite frequently. We are actually vacationing on the ocean in York, ME, this summer, but we do that regularly. I was trying to think of someplace new, and New Brunswick fits in the time-parameter!
