Am I the only one who wonders what led the original owners to purchase 101 points direct?

When we bought our 1st contract and were totally uneducated with DVC (after staying 10 days at BWV and renting direct with Disney). our guide at that time ask when did we like to travel, what size room did we think we needed and how long did we want to stay each time She then suggested the number of points to buy and we did.

mine just went on 6/9 but I come here to see the prices everyone is paying. That is what determined my offer on a BRV contract. I think I got a decent price $95pp (100 pt contract with 152 pts for 2023)
