Bob Iger Says Disneyland & Walt Disney World Combination Premier Annual Pass Will Not Return

CEO Bob Iger has just announced that Disneyland and Walt Disney World will not be bringing back the Premier Pass.

During the 2023 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, Iger stated that there was “not enough interest” and the Premier Pass “didn’t really achieve much in the way of accessibility.”

The Disney Premier Pass was the ultimate pass that allowed United States residents to access the Walt Disney World Resort parks and Disneyland Resort parks for an entire year. The price for the pass began at $700 when it was introduced in 2010. It was over $2,000 before it was discontinued during the pandemic.

*To note, this is the only thing during the meeting that involved any type of pass for the parks, no questions were asked about the return of Annual Pass sales, and no commentary was given on it.

Disney Celebrates Arrival of TRON Lightcycle / Run with Orange County Public Schools

>◎//: Initiating Community Protocol.

The grand opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise is just a day away, and we’re excited and ready for new “users” to experience this incredible new attraction. Before that though, we had the chance to celebrate this milestone with the Central Florida community while sharing some exciting news: Disney World will be donating $100,000 to help enhance STEM education in Orange County Public Schools! I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better place to commemorate this next step in giving back than on the Grid.

“We can always count on Disney to provide for our schools and students in innovative, fun and thoughtful ways,” said Orange County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Maria Vazquez. “This generous donation will help our teachers bring STEM to life in the classroom and will help provide our students with experiences they’ll treasure for a lifetime.”

Empowering the next generation of diverse storytellers has always been important to us, and this latest donation builds on our long legacy of supporting local schools, students and teachers. This continued commitment ensures that our future innovators receive the skills and hands-on experiences they need to dream about their futures, build their talents and become who they imagine they can be – which could one day lead them to a career at Disney.

This was the perfect way to close out the 50th Anniversary celebration which was filled with so much community magic. Over the course of the 18-month celebration, we gave more than $6.5 million in grants to 60+ nonprofits, and Walt Disney World cast personally volunteered more than 233,000 hours at local organizations through our Disney VoluntEARS Program – proud is an understatement.

Looking ahead, we’ll continue to support the people and places around us throughout the next 50 years and beyond, bringing the power of Disney’s stories, characters and immersive experiences directly to our community.

Epic Universe should cost somewhere in the range of $6B-$7B.
That is a good data point. Do you recall if they said how many employees they would be hiring for it?

ETA: I see you have that in the Stock News thread - 14k. Interesting.

Waiting for the return of Happily Ever After at the train station now, on my birthday, no less!!

Did want to report in that Festival of Fantasy at noon today was very, very pared down. The first two floats were missing (BaTB/Cinderella and PATF and Frozen). The parade was led by Belle, Tiana, and Cinderella in the “gazebo” float. Other missing completely floats were Pinocchio, Fantasia, and Dumbo. The dancers between the floats were often just 2-3 people. Very different from my last viewing in Jan!

Disney clarifies TRON Lightcycle Run virtual queue policy for late arrivals

On the webpage for TRON, the wording now states, "Late arrivals may not be accommodated."

During the soft opening period, some guests were frustrated by securing a boarding group from home or their hotel but could not get into the park quickly enough to reach TRON inside their arrival window. Disney has been offering a late arrival grace period of around one hour, but guests arriving outside of that time have usually been denied entry.
