Hmm...I don't think I know any leap year babies. Has he generally enjoyed being able to joke that he's much younger than he is (having had fewer birthdays) or has he found it annoying to usually have to celebrate his birthday on a different day?

A little of both, I think.

He really only plays up the younger thing in Leap Years when he actually does have a birthday. He was born in 1940. My son was born in 2000 (but my son is not a Leap Year baby). In 2020, my dad liked to tell everyone that they were both celebrating their 20th birthdays that year.

Overall, he doesn't make a big deal about it and we always make sure to celebrate him. He does prefer for his "replacement birthday" to be celebrated on 2/28, not 3/1 though. My sister and I would say "but your birthday is the day after 2/28... that's 3/1 this year" but he would say "my birthday has always been the last day of February." We humor him.

My youngest granddaughter turned 4 today (2/1). We faced timed with her this morning and she was so excited about her party at preschool today!! Family party is Sunday.

Me! Mine is the 24th! Overall, February is birthday month in my family. My Dad (his is tomorrow), Aunt (also tomorrow but by marriage, not a twin of my Dad), cousin, and many friends. My other aunt and grandfather were also Feb babies but have passed. It is funny, but 3 generations in our family born with my last name were all born in Feb (Grandfather, Aunt, Dad, and myself).
