Golly, I've been wanting to get outside and walk my pups for the last two hours but at 6:47am it's still so dark. No street lamps in our sub. :dog2:

Topcashback (TCB) has 15% cash back at Shop Disney through midnight. I’ve used TCB a few times over the last few months at lower percentages when redeeming Chase offers, and my October purchase went payable right around the 1 month mark. Clearly it’s YMMV, but could be worth the gamble for the extra 5% over Rakuten right now.

I show Rakuten at 10%, never used top cash back but….interesting…

I have never had luck with TCB and gc.
I appreciate seeing the feedback. I'm contemplating buying enough for our trip balance, but don't feel great using a site I've never heard of or used before.

I think I'm holding off to see if Rakuten goes higher for Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Are you in the northeast? I’m in Michigan and it’s just starting to show some daylight.

Southeast. Right after my whinny post I got my gear on and took Sherlock for an solid walk. About an hour and a half.
Watson's ready to go but wow, it's really snowing hard!
Time to exchange my gear and get Watson ready!

Yesterday I posted several gc offers from Best Buy but you had to be a TotalTech member or purchase the membership to buy any of the gc, those offers have expired. Good news, some are now available without the $199 yearly membership.
You might need to log into your account to see the lower prices.

TCB is mentioned on the first page of this thread, but agreed I have not used it. Rakuten has jumped up to 10% today, but kinda hoping to see them higher next week….

They don’t necessarily let you liquidate, I suppose you could send to a spouses venmo and put into an account. But if you do this in volume you could face some IRS scrutiny, especially if you get a misc earnings statement. honestly I picked up a bunch at 24-30% off and have been using them to build up a balance credit on my gas/ electric bill, etc. I use the venmo to make my friends buy the drinks then I pay em back 😂
Thanks I don't buy them very often so between myself and SO I am pretty sure we will be under the $600 limit. Also will save receipts as this is really not income just in case we were to go over we could show it for the tax guy. :)

Yes. I have done that in 2021 just not recently. Nowadays, I use them to buy Universal GC. Those are what I need, not Disney.
Are you just buying these online?

I need them as well.

My Kroger used to carry them but not anymore.

You can also find UOR Gift Cards at Select Stores:
Kroger:
Confirmed locations:
Winn Dixie: Winn-Dixie operates approximately 500 stores in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, and Mississippi. I only have one confirmed location.
Target Stores:
Florida
Thanks :thumbsup2 @larry4759

Yes, I buy the Universal gift cards directly from Universal online.
Churning the Visa & MC (prepaid & VV) use to be very easy, but here in my neck of the woods, it's pretty dry.

@robinb has a sweet deal going on. I couldn't be more jealous!
Right?! Dang! I need to find new avenues and build up a tolerance to the red alarms going off and the loud cashiers! "I need a Manager and not for an override!"

So to all, what may have worked two years ago or even a year ago may not now!

Hi all! I need to PIF for our upcoming cruise ($4,172.56) by mid-December and trying to figure out the best money saving way to purchase gift cards this Black Friday season.

Would appreciate all the tips and ideas you have.

I have memberships to Costco, BJ’s, and Sam’s. Local grocery chains are Wegmans, Harris Teeter, Safeway, and Giant.

I have seen some mentioned purchasing from shopdisney using Rakuten % back. Does that apply to gift card purchases as well?

I have the Costco credit card, as well as the BJ’s credit card. Other than that we have Bank of America and the Disney visa.

Open to applying for a card that I can turn around and pay off if there is a good benefit to doing so. With COVID we ended up canceled our placeholder so we don’t have the on board credit we usually have to pay tips so would love to save enough to cover that and then some!

I have been looking at BJ’s and wonder if I should just go with that deal but would love to do better. LMK. Thanks!!
