So was curious what other people did. My check in window opens at midnight tonight. I am looking for a good PAT. Is it worth staying up to it at midnight or should I wait till like 5am tomorrow and still be able to get a good time. I hear it can take forever at midnight so that is my big worry

Who knows. We had our check in recently and apparently 3 ships were checking in the same night so everyone had a very difficult time checking in. Things would just spin and spin. I logged on at midnight and did not get done checking in two cabins until about 2:00 am. It was a nightmare. Some in cruise group posted they got up early and did it with no problem and got a PAT before 12.

Yea we have 3 ships that start check in tonight to. Really torn on what to do.

When I checked in at midnight it took 45 min to complete checkin for 4 in 1 stateroom. We got PAT 11:15 and BG 6. When I checked in the morning the earliest PAT was 11:45. Was it worth it? - to me, yes, but I’m a night owl anyway.

We did ours last week only one ship checking in took 20 minutes only one cabin, 2 guest, we had all our documents saved and ready to upload We did have two laptops open, we had a slight hiccup with the blue spinning wheel when trying to save one passport, we got boarding group 2 with 11 am PAT best PAT this year out of 5 cruises.

To add my in laws are also going with us, and they did their online check in at 7am and got 12pm PAT group 9.

If buses start processing at the port upon arrival, how big a difference does it make to get an 11 or 11:30 PAT? Seems like it wouldn’t be worth it for daytime- oriented people. We night owls have no problem staying up.

And 3 ships checking in? Sounds like trouble just waiting to happen.

HI, going on first cruise ever this summer-what documents are needed to check in? Can they be uploaded prior to checking in, or do you have to upload when you're in the process of checking in?
Also, I know a different subject, but we now have the Disney premier credit card. This will be the card we use on the ship-if we go to purchase souvenirs over $50, will it still take the 10% discount off? Also, one other question (sorry!), I'm hoping to have some Disney rewards saved up by next August. How do we go about applying those to our charges while on the Wish? Do I bring it to customer service and have them apply it while we're on board? Thank you all!!!!

Did you end up staying up to check in?

Stayed up and checked in at midnight. What a mess. Took over 2 hours to get checked in. I was doing two different reservations on two computers. I was able to get a 11:15 PAT so I guess it was worth it.

Oh wow, that sounds awful. At least you were still able to get 11:15 luckily we haven’t experienced a delay that bad. I believe for our December cruise there will be 2 cruises checking in that day so I’m sure we will encounter some delays in November.

I had the same thing this morning, UK time so started at 5am and just about managed to get the 11.15am at 7am. Just in time to go to work.

It’s crazy! You think there would be a much better system then this.

I saw you asking last night in the meet group if anyone was having trouble checking in. I tried to respond but it wouldn’t go through. Apparently it’s been a big problem on here lately.

Yeah I couldn’t see any replies to the thread and still can’t. Including my own.

I get the email notifications but can’t see them when I log in.

My check in started at midnight and it took me 2 1/2 hours. So frustrating. It kept spinning and spinning. Wouldn’t upload passports. I don’t recall it being that frustrating on previous cruise check ins.

I don’t think frustrating sums it up. At one point I was ready to just cancel the whole thing if I could get my money back. Haha. Did you at least get a good PAT like I did?

We are sailing in November so will be completing the online checkin in October. Is there anywhere on the DCL website that guides you how to complete the online checkin before you actually start the process to help you prepare and gather all necessary information? What documents are needed? Do passports have to be scanned in and uploaded or do they just need the passport number? Any other documents that need to be gathered to answer questions or available for upload?

Do you have to complete the online checkin before you can get a PAT time? Any guidance is appreciated. We haven't cruised since before the pandemic so I am sure there are lots of changes to the process.
