Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

are the new tvs being changed out at the villas as well? We are arriving next week and would love those features!

There was a report this morning about the new TV’s. It does mention BCV will receive the new TV’s, but no date given on when. Here’s the information…

Interactive TVs Coming to Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts Guest Rooms

This interactive television system will now be available at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts with availability at additional Walt Disney World Resorts in the future, including Disney's Beach Club Resort Villas.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What's new about this system?

This new, interactive television system will personalize the in-room TV experience by welcoming Guests upon arrival. Guests can also enjoy streaming in their room with complimentary Disney content and connectivity for their personal device to stream their subscribed content (Disney+, Hulu, etc.). Standard channels, park hours, resort amenities and information are also available.

What devices are supported?
Smart phones, tablets and laptops are supported to stream to the TV. Only content from Chromecast-enabled apps (mirroring is not supported) can be sent to the TV.

Will Guests be "logged out" of their accounts (subscription services) upon check-out?
Yes. Guest credentials and Connect My Device pairings will be cleared upon each check-out. Guests will use their personal devices to log into any subscription services, so information is not stored in the system

We are home from a very nice, but cold, trip. We stayed in Yacht Club, room 5198 - garden view club level. I'll have more about the room in a later post.

As I mentioned earlier, we found that they had installed a new cable system in our room Wednesday afternoon. The installation crew were in the hallway and we saw the cable boxes they were installing. We didn't have very much time to play with it, but I'll post a few more pictures of the screens.

and this is the information you get when you click on the park

the one difference that I noted with this new information is that it does not include the listing for the early park hours for resort guests

I only posted a couple items, but there were lots of things listed, such as information about cabanas and fireworks cruises, among other things. But it wasn't very helpful except to let you know that the activity existed. The activities section was rather disappointing. It would list the activities but didn't give the cost or times for them.

We were at Animal Kingdom today and the bus back to the resort made three stops, YC, BC and BWI - in that order. That’s the first time I have seen the AK bus sharing with BWI.

We stayed at BWI 1/21-1/24/22. We had a direct bus going to AK but shared a bus with YC & BC leaving the park. There were only 5 of us on the bus they stopped at BC & then BWI.

The TVs look interesting, but from what you e said it looks like all features might not be all that useful. Hope you had a fun trip. I’ve enjoyed & appreciated all your pics.

Btw, I have a GV-CL booked for this summer. I’ve only stayed SV-CL before, so I’d love to hear about your room.

Can you let us know what kind of music is playing on the main screen? The resort music loop is gone, correct?

thanks!
It wasn't Disney music. I think it was something with banjoes playing. Whatever it was, it was odd. Hopefully, someone who is there soon can give a better answer. But the resort music loop is gone.

I was just reading your posts about the in room tv changes. Are you saying the resort music playing when you first turn on the tv is gone? Is this permanent?

The old screen is gone. This is the screen that you get when you turn on the TV. It will have the guest's name and room number on it. The Friendship boat moves across the screen and it plays some sort of riverboat music. I would guess that it is a permanent change for the resorts that have installed the new cable boxes. :)

Oh thank you for the info! I love the resort tv music so much! I guess I’ll hold judgement until I see it.

We didn't have very much time to explore the new TV but we did watch the Happily Ever After fireworks on the TV. It was great to see the details of the laser show on the castle. It was great picture clarity, unlike the You tube videos that are out there. :)

Here is my room report for our trip - Feb 6-10.

Yacht Club club level garden view
room 5198
king bed
shower - no tub

There are supposedly only five garden view rooms on the fifth floor and this was the only room that overlooked the lakeside resort entrance. The other garden view rooms overlook the gazebo area. Room 5198 was in a very short hallway and didn't have any rooms next to it. There was a utility room next door, though, with random crashes and bashes going on in there our first day. The Commodore suite is at the end of this hallway and there were two or three resort rooms across the hall. But otherwise, it was a nice location and close to the elevators. The balcony gets a lot of afternoon sun.

The yellow circle marks room 5198. You can see that it is the only room on this side.

This is the view if you move the chair to the very corner of the balcony. It was a nice view and I think the best of the garden view CL rooms.

This room had my favorite shower. I was really glad to get it. :)

There were extra toiletries in the club level room. The regular resort rooms don't get toothbrushes, shaving kits and foot cream. We also had robes and slippers in the closest. But we still had paper coffee cups instead of the ceramic ones.

It was cold during our trip and rainy one day. But we did have a lot of fun. We walked over to Fantasia miniature golf course one afternoon and had the sun come out to warm us up. It was our first time playing miniature golf during a WDW trip and it was nice to do something new.

We will be back next month but not club level. Our February trip was during the value season and we had a 25% AP discount, making it the same price as our October BC trip. We ate every breakfast and dinner in the club lounge and it was great. :) But we also like ADR's and meeting friends for dinner so we won't be booking club level for awhile. :)

Dee - please add us to the Be Our Guest list - YC Mar 6 - 9, 2022

Thanks. :)

Thanks for the pics and detailed review. I agree that your room has the best GV-CL views. The location looks perfect. We need at least 2 sleeping surfaces, preferably 3, so I guess we’ll try for one of the gazebo view ones.

Sounds like you had a great trip and happy to hear the CL was good too. 😃

Thanks again.
