Remy BG vs ILL$

Any feedback on wait times for Remy? Touring Plans has wait times upwards of 80-120min for a crowd level of 3 in January. I would much rather pay for ILL. Does anyone have actual data re: real wait times. how can TP estimate as there are so many variables to take into consideration.

I'm not sure if this is helpful or not. Thrill Data is normally helpful but I'm not sure since the ride uses boarding groups. There is no standby line so you're either waiting for your BG to be called or, your ILL$ return time.

This data is from Oct 21 - today.

Also, not sure if the 'wait time' is the anticipated amount of time for your BG to be called?

Is there a thread that discusses Remy boarding groups? Like how quickly they go, when they are dropped each say, etc. similar to the Rise thread when it had boarding groups?

We rode it 3 times last week. Without a doubt, if you can get a morning (low number BG), your wait will be much less. Monday, we had group 80, got in line at 3:30, 45 minute wait. Wednesday, group 11, in line at 10, a 10 minute wait at most. Friday, group 50 in line at 1:30 about a 25 minute wait.
Monday, the ride also went down in the morning, so you had other BG joining in the afternoon, adding to the wait.
The paid LL looked to be under 10 minutes all day.
As much as we enjoy the ride, not sure I would pay for it.

Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for. Do they post the wait time at the ride when you arrive your BG? And how would you know if the line goes down? We are arriving and starting the day at 2 pm. Otherwise we will hop to Epcot so will never get to take advantage of an early BG. Probably will try BG and if line is too long do ILL.

You check in the app and it tells you what BGs they are currently loading. As you enter the building (and then exit out again for more queue), there is an estimated wait time.

Remy doesn't currently have a standby line, so VG times are for return, not for amount of time spend standing in line.

yes I do understand that. I was more looking to find out the approximate wait time after a BG is called. For example, BG group 79 called, walk to Remy, wait x amount of time to ride. I will buy ILL$ if I have to, I just am curious if the wait times are decent 30-45min or 120min. This information will help me plan if I will purchase or attempt standby with BG. I would think with BG you would have decent wait times

That’s helpful, I’m wondering if anyone has had real-time experience with this since Genie has started. Touring Plans has afternoon waits at greater than 120 min. Not sure where that data is coming from

On the Tip Board, they list the time you might wait for your callback if you were to sign up for the VQ. Not the actual time you would wait in line after reporting back. In the afternoon it might list something like 400 minutes, which means if you join the VQ after 1 you might be waiting until around 8PM for your callback. Not sure which one TP is reporting, or how they get their estimates for a VQ attraction. I haven't tried it for Remy but a number of times for Rise and never waited 2 hours in an actual line.

We rode with BG 63 earlier this month. Our group was called at 12:00 noon or so on a Saturday. We waited 25 minutes to ride and were out of the park before the first quarter of my football game was over. The entire area was crowded with people milling about and the queue looked long, but clipped right along the entire time.

Remy is cute, but I wouldn't pay for it--in fact, I wouldn't wait in a queue longer than 20 minutes for it either.

If it's like Rise, you do not have to wait hours, but it could be a half hour or so.

this makes so much more sense.
I think I will try for a later BG and see how it goes

We rode Remy last week (10/21) with a ILL$ pass, since we did not have a park reservation for Epcot during our quick 4 day trip. I secured a time of 3pm for the ILL$ pass from our hotel right at 7am. The Lightning Lane was used for the ILL$ passes and moved much faster, like a fast pass line. I heard people complaining that the Boarding Group lines were moving very slow, They definitely prioritized guests that "paid" to ride.

I was also able to secure a back-up boarding group for Remy when we park hopped at 2pm on that same day. Our group wasn't called back until 9:45pm, and we were long gone at that point. So we would have been able to ride twice that day.

No - I don't think you can do both. You would have to do either BG or ILL$ and do stand-by to ride a second time in the same day.

There is no traditional standby line for Remy at this time. The Virtual Queue, which is accessed through the Boarding Groups, takes the place of standby.

As the PP said you can get a BG for the Virtual Queue and purchase the Individual LL to ride twice In the same day.

Sorry - don't know what I was thinking.

So wait, at 7am when hotel guests can get the paid LL, the earliest time was 3pm? Are they spacing paid LL throughout the day, or are they purposely making them later in the day and pushing virtual q earlier in the day? I’d really like to knock rides like this out earlier in the day. I was hoping by going the paid LL route, you could select early times pretty easily.
