Is this considered a loophole? It’s very similar to how MP worked so I think it’s just the way it’s meant to work, and there will be power users who know how to stack and maximize the system.
Exactly! I don’t think it’s as much a loophole as it is a different strategy. Some people might prefer this stacking for the later park, others might prefer to use as many as they can by starting earlier in the day. Different strategies for different touring strategies. Is this considered a loophole? Loophole is this:
If AK is your first park do not make any LL selections for it. Show up and do standby only. As an onsite guest you can start booking at 7:00am. In you MDX add MK as your park hop of choice. At 7:00am you can start booking LL's for MK. It will know it is your park hop so it will only offer you next available slots after 2:00pm. So in this situation you can buy 2 ILL's and book 1 LL at 7:00am for MK. At 11:00am you can then book another LL for MK, and then another one at 1:00pm. That is now 5 attractions booked. Once in MK you can then book your 6th LL at 3:00pm.
Key here is do not book anything for your first park that you have a reservation with that day. Only use standby
You could, but remember that you have to tap into your reserved park before you’re allowed to hop to another park.Based on that loophole above, I was thinking about one of my days where I am not planning to go to MK until around 3:00 that day (resort relaxation for the AM).
Wouldn't it make sense to select one of the other parks as my park that day, and start making G+ selections for MK at 7:00 as my "hopper" park?
Well - there is no official definition of loophole and this is seemingly working as designed . It’s a “loophole” in the sense that there is a way to reserve rides outside of the strict sequential distribution system which could have some trickle down effects. That’s not to say it’s “bad” or “good”. It’s just an exception to how the system generally works. Is this considered a loophole? Yes. You can book ILL$ at different parks but not more than two ILL$ total for the day. When you attempt to book ROTR you will need to tap the "change park" link near the top of your tip board and then choose HS. Then scroll down to ROTR to purchase. Don't worry if the displayed return time is before 2 PM. Genie knows that you can't hop to HS until after 2:00 and will allow you to select from 1-hour intervals (i.e. 2 PM, 3 PM, 4 PM, etc). Choose the people in your group who will ride. Choose a hour that suits you and you will be given a number of return times from which to choose (e.g. 3:10, 3:25, 3:50). You pick one and pay on the next screen. What about the stacking of ILL? If I am going to MK in the morning and hopping to HS can I buy both Mine Train for the morning and Rise for after 2pm at 7am?
Offsite guests can purchase ILL$ at the time of park opening. The unanswered question is which park's opening....I believe it's the park you have a reservation for, but it might also be the park you're booking in? In either case, you will be able to buy the ILL$ pass for the park you're hopping into via the app. No need to go to the park. You will need to add the hopping park onto your Tip Board and then the options for that park will be available to purchase for 2pm or later. Can I (as offsite guest) purchase ILL$ in the MDX app? Do I need to go to epcot gates? Hoping it doesn’t require actually entering the park.
Touring Plans tested this. You can make reservations for your 2nd park starting at the time that the park you have reservations opens at. So if AK opens at 8 and Epcot at 10, if you have a reservation at AK, you can book an ILL for Remy at 8 (but it will be for after 2 pm).I would think to make an I$LL for Remy, it would be at the Epcot opening time even if you will be at MK earlier. Otherwise, it would give hoppers a significant advantage over those with a park reservation for Epcot.
& this would be accomplished only on day of re purchase the after 2 pm ILL$In either case, you will be able to buy the ILL$ pass for the park you're hopping into via the app. No need to go to the park. You will need to add the hopping park onto your Tip Board and then the options for that park will be available to purchase for 2pm or later.
You can make an additional G+ reservations 120 min after you make the first one - starting at park opening. So if you make a reservation at 7 am, and you return times is after 11, you can make an additional one 2 hours after park opening. So technically a 9 and an 11 will not work. Can someone explain this to me:
Similar to Disneyland’s old Disney MaxPass, only one selection can be held at a time, with the exception being when a guest’s next selection time window is more than 120 minutes away. In that case, Disney Genie+ will allow a second selection to be held.
So if I have a 9AM Genie+ selection it will allow me to also hold a 11AM selection?
Yeah, I wouldn't call it a loophole. I mean, you can purchase two ILL and also stack G+ at your reserved park too. No difference.Loophole is this:

This reminds me of the days when they didn't enforce return times on the paper fast passes. We would run around gathering them in the morning for the popular rides while taking advantage of short standby lines, and then use them in the afternoon. This is a much easier option that sounds like it offers the same advantage!
Why not book your second G+ LL at 11 at AK, use it and each time you tap in book another AK ride, until midday or whenever you leave for lunch and then book a second G+LL at MK? I think this gives the same result as your option, but you get some extra use of G+ at AK.Loophole is this:
