So, DH was able to do the MDD sometime in September. He got the CSR (approved 9/22) card first because they overnighted the card to him. So, we started using that first. The CSP (approved 9/21) came by snail mail and then was declined when he tried to use it even though we verified it online when received. He finally called and had the hold lifted on the card. The rep said it was not verified as received properly. Whatever. We have since made some charges on it.

The problem now is that when we log into his Chase account, under the CSR reward activity, it shows you are $xxx.xx away from your 60,000 bonus points, but there is NADA under his CSP rewards activity. There is no new account bonus category under rewards activity for his CSP! Should we be worried? Should he SM? Call? Wait until he completes his CSR SUB before he inquires about his missing CSP SUB?

Argh...
So DH just got the CSP from my referral link a few months back. I panicked because the tracker never showed up on his rewards activity. After about 6 weeks I SM'd and received a message back with the remaining spend and the required date of completion. He has now met the spend requirement and the bonus has posted to his account, his tracker never showed up for the new CSP bonus (we met the spend requirement in about 9 or 10 weeks). So if it hasn't shown up in a few weeks you could send an SM to ask, or it really isn't out of the realm for it to never show up at all.

Question on the CSP offer reportedly ending soon. It has been 48 months since DW opened her CSP and I closed it last month. Do I need to wait anytime to reapply or ok to move forward since the last billing cycle has closed?
I think it's 30 days from closing the account before you can apply for it again. And it's 48 months from when the SUB posted (presumably around 3 months after you opened the CSP), before you can apply for a new SUB on the card.
I am trying to find where to generate a support link for my P2 to apply for a CSP. In the past there was a box on the website after I have logged in. Now when I want to use it is is not there. Thank you.
Google Chase Refer a Friend for the generic generation link. If that doesn't work, log into your account, click on your CSP card and select "More" over on the right side, click on "card benefits", and scroll allllll the way to the bottom and there should be a "refer a friend" link.

Anyone who has a CSP should generate their support link asap. I become eligible for the CSP on 10/19 🥺, so I'm hoping DH's works then.
Just want to call this out - so with CSP offer reportedly ending in 2 days... it's worth noting that CSP support links MIGHT continue to work for a week or two beyond that date. That has often been the case in the past... BUT no guarantees this time.

I was just looking at this hotel yesterday for a trip this Spring. Thanks for the review, very helpful! I was especially curious about the ease of public transportation since we would prefer not to rent a car.

I didn't end up going to Lake Louise. The current situation is pretty bleak there and I didn't want to take any chances. I will most likely take a hiking trip with Backroads in the Cdn Rockies next September and tack on 3 nights at Lake Louise.

However I had 3 Hilton FNCs that need to be used by the end of the year, 2 Hyatt FNCs (one expiring this year) and an itch to get back to traveling. So I decided to go to Chicago. I stayed 1 night at the Thompson (Hyatt). I am now just one Hyatt category away from a FNC for hitting 5 different Hyatt brands.

I will give a brief review of the Thompson since I was only there 1 night. I took the subway there from the airport (transferred from blue to red line and walked a few blocks); it was super easy and fast. I got to the hotel around 10:45am and they gave me keys to my upgraded room (from basic king room to king bed deluxe room with a view on a high floor), which was very much appreciated. The Thompson is located in the 'Gold Coast' neighborhood and there are several good restaurants just outside the doors of the hotel. I enjoyed the location as it felt very safe for a single female traveler.

The room was a good size and it was super quiet. Bed was very comfortable and I really liked the corner couch, which is where I ate dinner the one night I was there (which was leftovers from an AMAZING lunch at Sunda). There isn't a coffee maker in the room, but the front desk had housekeeping provide a carafe of hot water for my tea (they offer free coffee in the lobby from 7-11am). No slippers as the hotel is apparently out. Bathrobes were soft and fluffy. Bathroom had a shower only, which I prefer (unless there is a separate tub and shower -- I hate tub/shower combos and seek out hotels that do not have this setup). The staff that I encountered were extremely pleasant and an asset to the hotel. My upgraded room would have cost $270.00 / night, so I feel that I got great value from my Hyatt FNC. The only issue that would keep me from staying here again is the location -- for my next visit I would like to be closer to the river as I feel that it's more central. Otherwise I'd stay at the Thompson again and recommend it to others.

Since I don't have globalist with Hyatt I went to Wildberry for breakfast and wow! The pumpkin cinnamon pancakes were DELICIOUS. Seriously. I am glad that I didn't feel obliged to have breakfast at the hotel as I LOVED Wildberry (I went back again on Saturday morning). I also ate at the Original Pancake House one morning (which is directly across from the Thompson) and despite it's rather bleak interior, the pumpkin cinnamon pancakes were seriously scrumptious and service was excellent.

Airfare was with AC (of course!) using Aeroplan miles and eUpgrades (total cost 22k points and 6 eUpgrades)

The other pic of the room with the corner couch keeps posting upside down.

I was able to load the PayPal deal on my Brilliant by following the link someone left in the comments on the DoC entry on the deal. It didn’t show up under my offers so I tried this and it seemed to work. I’ll have to test to make sure. And hopefully PayPal will get my preferred payment method correct.

Thinking about UR...doesn't it make sense to use my CSP for pretty much everything, since I'll get 10x points back at end of year? That's a better return than 5x at office,or am I missing something?

The transit system in Chicago is excellent. I took either the subway or bus almost everywhere (exceptions were for my early morning PCR test to come back to Canada, Navy Pier to see the Halloween lights {walked back} and to the Museum of Science and Industry which is not well connected to transit). You can get a transit pass (Ventra) at the airport for however many days that you require and hop on the blue line to your hotel.

I was rather limited in my hotel options because I wanted to use either my Hyatt FNC or one of my Marriott 35K FNCs for the first night. The Westin River North was a top choice but it was 40K points / night. I also looked at the (Hyatt) Chicago Athletic Association (CAA), but since I was transferring the the WA the next day it made more sense to choose the Thompson since it was just a few blocks south. The CAA is a highly regarded hotel; I saw it from the exterior and kind of regretted not choosing it. You should definitely consider it. If / when I go back it will be at the top of my list along with the Westin River North.

We stayed at the Thompson this summer as well. WDWgroupie describes it well! My DD lives a block away. As far as public transportation goes, it is closest to the Red line for "the L" as we call it. The ORD is on the blue line. You're only a block away from Michigan Ave/Lake Shore Dr with a variety of CTA buses.
Parking is limited and expensive. I think $75/night at the Thompson.

Following up on my own post. BOA is a $hitshow.
I'm chiming in to add....it's true in every way:scared: Just got me and DS out of there and switched to another bank...what a hassle! The way they handled pandemic closings etc drove me nuts, their policy and customer service are the pits, and that stupid bonus I was promised never materialized. Good Riddance.

If only this were true.......sadly, you receive a 10% points bonus at the end of the year, so if you earn 10,000URs on the CSP - you get a bonus 1,000 URs. Thats my understanding anyway.

Question...has anyone here stayed at Hilton Palace next to Disney Springs on points? I'm pretty sure no fees b/c I booked on points, but I'll still have to pay for parking (hoping we get our rental as planned) right? And if we're Gold, do they give us a food credit x2 daily? I've never used that feature, and curious about the food credit esp. (my DH highly values free food lol)

so if I generate a link now the I could get my mom in on this on the 10th or 11th? I was bummed she was barely missing it....

This reminds me of my wedding. I got married at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago and my idiot brother rented a car and parked it at the Ritz (my parents were paying). Public transportation is the way to go.

Does Citi have any rules that I need to be aware of? It seems like the Citi Premier 80K SUB is here to stay, I want to apply but want to have the best possibility of being approved.
I'm 3/24 and 4/12 on inquires.

Now some people might want to be more cautious and not apply for multiple biz cards at once. And I TOTALLY understand wanting to be cautious.
What factors would make one want to be cautious? I haven't had a business card before so trying to figure how to go about this
