With all the 50th merchandise coming out (and some of it pricey), I wanted to remind people that probably the cheapest 50th souvenir you can take home is the reusable shopping bags. We bought one of each when we were there last week and still only spent less than $10 total. There are small, medium, and large bags for $2, $2.50, and $3 each, respectively.

Looking at pictures and videos of Spaceship Earth at night, with all of its points of light dancing in full glory, and all I can say is WOW!!! I cannot wait to see this in person!

And I want a tabletop version compete with dancing LED lightshows. How cool would that be?

I skimmed through it, most of it is what has been presented here through various news postings about the new rides, new nighttime shows, merchandise, the Amazon Echo “Hey Disney” coming to homes and the WDW Resort Hotels, the new MagicBand+, and galactic Starcruiser. There may be more detail than that in there but that’s kind of what I got from it.

NEWS: You CAN’T Re-Ride Disney World Attractions with Genie+ At Launch

Original title doesn’t include at Launch, but when Genie+ launches you will only be able to book a particular ride once in your day. No repeat lightning lane access for rides. This could all be subject to change as time goes on with the system.

I've seen a few blogs and previews of GotG's Cosmic Rewind recently so I think they are promoting that as the next new ride after Remy. Hopefully we're hear more about Tron soon too.

I have nothing against Guardians of the Galaxy, they're fun. I do wonder though why we couldn't have had a planetarium-universarium thing that was actually about what we know of our universe? It could have been a nice mash up of fictional IP and real world information, Epcot Edutainment.

That sounds wonderful. I do like the GotG movies and the ride will most likely be amazing, but being in Epcot just seems wrong to me. That ride belongs in the IP park aka Hollywood Studios. Sometimes I think Disney couldn't come up with a good non IP attraction if their lives depended on it. Or perhaps the good ideas are being muffled by higher ups. Space 220 is the only non IP thing to come out in a long time.
