Horrible Experience Booking ADR's this morning (09/13)

Had the worst time getting ADR's today for our 8 day trip starting on 11/12. The App would never work and it was hit or miss on the website. Both me and my girlfriend were trying to get reservations for different days and she never could get any. I have done this for many, many, many trips and this was by far the worst experience working on the app or the website.

Did anyone else have issues. It took me 2.5 hours to get everything booked. I am in mountain time so it is going to be a very long day today - yuck.

Yup also had a pretty horrible time making mine 2 months ago. App errors out after choosing a time and so did the website for a few days. :/

I also had the worst time ever this morning right at 6AM. Eventually the app on my phone worked better than the website on the computer. Both were hit or miss. took an hour to make 3 reservations! Can't wait to see the mess at 7AM the first day of LL and IA!

I agree. We just went in July and it was a little crazy booking those, but nothing like this morning.

A month ago booking our ADRs, had similar issues where I could start an ADR, but not finish. Then it wouldn't take the CC I had on file and had to reenter the same card.
Finally, by refreshing, new times would suddenly become available that weren't a few seconds before.
So a standard day trying to schedule WDW ADRs.
Hope yours did work out.

I had trouble making ADR's last month. At first I couldn't even get in because the site was down. Kept getting the 7 dwarfs. I didn't use the APP because I read somewhere here that the APP was the worst way to go. I would say call IT and complain but that doesn't do any good. They always say the same thing, "We're not receiving any complaints. No problem on our end, the problem is on your end." I'm very nervous when Genie+ comes out.

I did mine on September 1st and it was all screwed up too. Was able to get only 1 of my ADR’s. It was aggravating and gave me anxiety!

And this is why I call a wonderful castmember who goes through it all for me and avoids any issues. It also helps that person keep their job. I hate doing a job that someone else is being paid to do.

This reminds me …didn’t we get asked for castmember extension once upon a time when making a resort reservation? It seems like a kept one favorite castmember extension for their excellent service.
The dining. Calendar is definitely screwed up. It allows me to choose beyond 60 days, and then just spins and spins and then says
Not available at this time try later… this was all weekend …
Of course that won’t stop from checking for SPACE 220.
And I know all the primo vlogger vlogger blogger blogger will know before us anyway! No respect for that at all

Oh and just one more thing… could this site possibly have more pop -ups and glitches…Or is it just me?
I always confirm strictly necessary. Everytime …

You know who I didn't have issues booking with and plenty of times to choose from? Yep that's right Universal. I only had to use one computer and at a decent hour.

Ok hijack over, good luck everyone.

It was very bad on the ap and online for me too. But, I had called in to Disney to book a fireworks cruise and when I finally connected after about a 2 hour hold, the person on the other end of the line was absolutely wonderful and when I told him I was having trouble online with dining he got everything taken care of and booked all my dining reservations. Very fortunate to get bookings for everything I wanted (except for V&As, for obvious reasons). Apparently there was an issue with their system recognizing certain bookings, so as a workaround he "booked" me a second booking at another resort (without me having to do anything at all, it was all done on his end) so I could make the dining reservations then after I had them cancelled that new resort booking. Because I had my original booking in place (at a Disney Springs area hotel) the dining reservations stayed and are all on my plans. Simple on my end, but seemed like a complex process.

Bottom line - if you have any issues call Disney and they will sort you out well. Just clear your day for the hold times.

Our 60 day date was last week and I didn't have any issues outside of availability. We were only really looking at Oga and Le Cellier for tougher reservations and while those weren't plentiful (Le Cellier was day 1 and Oga day 2) we still got them. Threw on a Be Our Guest because it was open and a few easier spots throughout.

Think of all the issues that may never have occurred if all the resources they've expended so far to add a pay system would have just been directed towards maintenance...

That's just silly talk. How are Chapek's nieces, and nephews going to get a yacht over 60 feet with that kind of foolishness. Plus, ppl are still literally waking up at the crack of dawn just for a chance to eat at an overpriced restaurant, and stressing about not getting some of those reservations. That means everything is pretty much perfect. Complaints? What complaints? The money is what talks. Guess what they listen to?

Keep giving them more and more money. Everything is just fine. I mean, it must be fine, since everyone is happy, and eager to pay. Or else, they wouldn't, right?

Odd, when I made mine for my October trip last month did not have any real issues. Just the standard change the query to find what I want. The defaults for dinner seldom work. I set the time for 5:30PM and always find something. I was able to get SciFi and Le Cellier among others.
