Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Thanks for this information! We are going on Saturday so pretty imminent, but I know things are changing very quickly. We are actually thinking we will try to do uber to AK (knowing the surge pricing), but for MK bus seems easiest.

Anyone there recently with an update to the bus situation? Hoping to rope drop AK and MK from Beach Club... should we walk over to Yacht to get the first buses? Will 6:45 be early enough?
There isn’t any reason for BC and BCV guests to go to the YC bus stop for the morning bus. The two bus routes are independent from each other when going to the parks in the morning. They share the rest of the day. :)

We are staying at the BC for the very first time (June 19-23). Can anyone tell me if the daybed in the standard room is a regular length, as versus one of those short ones that are for little kids? My kids are tall teens, so we need a bed that could sleep an adult. I'm planning to call to request this, but am not sure if I should request a room with a daybed, or instead a room that could fit a rollaway so it would be long enough (or even a sofabed, but I didn't book a deluxe room so I don't know if that's an option). Thanks for any info you have!

The daybed is regular length - large enough for an adult. We have had adults sleeping on it. :)

Yes it is - but back when the kids (now adults) were little, we stayed at the BC a couple of times. Family of 5 - 2 boys and one girl so the one queen for the boys and the other for us.

My daughter always got the day bed and last trip (2018 - everyone in their 30s with their own families and separate rooms) she remembered that and STILL complained! :)

Anyone there right now? Has the increased amount of chairs mean no more waiting to get into SAB? We are going in two days and are hoping for some afternoons at the pool, which I know is prime time.

Has anyone seen any dinner reviews for Cape May? I saw a couple of breakfast ones but now dinner yet.

There’s a couple of dinner ones out there. Check out mickeyblog.com and the other site that we can’t name on here.

I'm not certain whether to post this question in the resort or restaurant board, so I apologize in advance if this is the wrong board. Plus, I'm asking for my 16-year old DD so if no one answers I'm probably in for a long, long night. ;)

Is cold brew coffee an available option for the refillable mug at BC Marketplace? I thought I read on a prior thread it was, but I'm not sure if that was during pre-COVID rules or COVID rules. And, now we are entering post-COVID rules, so I'm totally flummoxed.

Another cabana question..we have one booked for end of June, we’ve been in summer months before & know how frequent afternoon storms can be, any idea what happens if pool closes for a storm during our cabana rental? I know how hard they are to book so I wouldn’t expect a reschedule but would they issue a refund? What if it’s not an all day wash out but just for a few hours?

We're headed down to the BCV tomorrow (late). Can anyone update on the status of SAB - i.e. what can we expect now with lines/availability/etc (I know things are changing fast)? Also - any word on Hurricane Hanna's? From what I understand, the bar is available, and you can get food orders from bar servers, but the counter service side is still closed?

Are there towels available at SAB? I know when we've stayed at the moderates there was always a big cart full of towels by the feature pool so we didn't have to use our room towels. With limited housekeeping, it would be nice if we didn't have to ask for fresh towels all the time.

Thanks!

I can't answer for the Y&BC cabanas, but I rented one for Jul at Swan/Dolphin and they said we can leave it unoccupied for some period of time no matter the reason (can't recall the time and I'd hate to guess now) but I know they said if it's a storm they don't expect people to stay there.

I think our rental is for 6 hours and I do think they essentially expect someone to be there except perhaps for lunch somewhere else. That is, it's not like we could go to a park during the time (though some in the party could).

Our thought is we'd simply tell the people in charge we'll be back and the approx time we'd be gone. I'm sure an hour or so would be no issue. And I assume they'd be flexible in the case of a storm (which for us - in July - is a virtual certainty!)

EDIT - as far as an all day wash out, our experience at WDW (about 7 trips in the summer) is that an all day wash out is VERY rare. Though I DO recall one trip when we slogged through the parks nearly every day in ponchos. Shortest lines ever (pre-fast pass). But if that happened with a Cabana rental I suspect there would be no refund unless perhaps if the pool was literally closed the entire time of the rental.

There is no cold brew at the Marketplace anymore. It was removed in the remodel. There is only hot coffee.

You can get iced coffee at the Market at the Yacht but I'm not sure about cold brew.

Hi, Dee.

I just made some changes to our August trip. We will now be at the Beach Club from August 1st-9th and the Poly from August 9th-14th. Originally we were booked at the Beach Club for our entire trip because I could not get a room at the Poly, but after obsessively checking several times a day, a room opened up at the Poly for our dates.

Only 72 more days! We can't wait!

Thanks!
