Priceline Express Deals

Yea I really don't think there's a schedule to when things are released and if I'm not mistaken before last month it was really unheard of for deals towards the end of the year to be released this early like they were a few weeks ago.

After my last go around with adding kids to a Hotwire reservation early last year ... I’m afraid to even ask where we are with that now? I think I saw it was a simple call again, but now that’s not the case?

with the 10% off coupon, my pop reservation is still $45 cheaper with the kids than going through Disney.

Wondering if it’s worth the hassle of adding them. LOL
Because I did not want to wait on hold for Disney wholesale and because no FP or MBs I added them at check in. The funny part is a bought disney tickets under I have a resort reservations calander. It did not occur to me until later that the two were not connected until check in I was surprised it let me buy tickets.

Check out post 6950, apparently you can add a day on the front or back end of your stay at the same rate as your initial reservation through the app or by calling!

Thanks again! The Hotwire rate for my date has gone up, but rep that I spoke with when I just called gave me an even cheaper rate for the add-on day then the other days we booked. Amazing! Love this group!

Thank you all for the quick replies! What an awesome group! Sometimes it's intimidating to ask questions on some of these groups because you never know what kind of replies you will get... Definitely not the case here!

With that, I have one more *newbie* question. How often are new hotel deals added? Is it a daily thing? Once a week? Many times a day?
I've been tracking Priceline Express and Hotwire deals for a few years now, but they keep it a moving target.
The rule of thumb is deals may show up about 4-6 weeks out, but both sites have broken that rule - Priceline a lot of times in the past, and Hotwire just recently dropped deals all the way out to the end of 2021.

My generic advice is start checking once or twice a week about 4 months out just to see what's out there, then start checking several times a week about 2 months out.
Also, watch for some people's blog posts on the topic. ;)

Ok, I'm looking for a good deal to stay at a Disney resort (deluxe preferably) for November 4 and 5. Trying to squeeze in a trip to Disney with Universal :)

I'm considering doing a refundable room at Dolphin or Swan while I look for better deals.

Debating if I want to go for my bday (May 15). Or rather, I ALWAYS go for my birthday, but between covid & moving (we are still trying to sell our place), I don't know if I'll really be able to swing it. I'm still checking Hotwire either way! I don't see much on PL for May 15-18/19 but HW has a couple good deals floating in & out. Anyone see anything exciting on PL for those dates? I suck at find the Disney resorts there.

Priceline hasn't had great stuff lately in comparison to HW. I only see the Waldorf for $233/night over there that looks interesting on your dates.

Good to know I'm not missing on something better, at least! Maybe that's why I think I can't figure out which ones are Disney haha.

I didn't find any Priceline Express deals for Disney-owned resorts for your dates, but then I didn't even find the Waldorf Astoria deal that Sarah found. The only Priceline Express deals I found were for the Wyndham Grand Orlando and the prices weren't that great (17% off).

OK, I think I'm going to start looking for value/moderate for 11/4 to 11/5. I haven't found any good deals yet on PL or HW, but maybe I'm not looking at it correctly.

I did notice that the Waldorf Astoria also has an airport shuttle available as an amenity?

On Priceline, many hotels are shown as having airport shuttles, both Disney and non-Disney. It's on Hotwire, when searching in the Walt Disney World- Bonnet Creek area, that it seems it's just the Disney resorts that have airport shuttles. On Hotwire, when I've searched, and I just took another look, the Waldorf Astoria does not have an airport shuttle as an amenity.

On Hotwire, it seems that the times I've looked today, they're not showing any Disney-owned resorts, either as Hot rates or as transparent listings, for any dates. Is everyone else seeing the same results?

Not sure if these tips were added, but (on top of "airport shuttle" and the Disney Bonnet Creek area) if you click "Beachfront," then Yacht Club and Caribbean Beach are narrowed down in the search on Hotwire.

I saw Coronado on those dates for $199 - not a terrific deal at all, but probably cheaper than Disney right now without any discounts released. (I didn't check the math to see if my assumption is correct.)
In normal times it is early for November deals to be good; while Hotwire's drop last month to the end of the year did release some decent deals all the way out, yesterday they started resetting things (and Disney resorts even disappeared for part of the day.)

If I'm booking a non-refundable deal 5 months out, I'd want it to be a really good discount to make up for the risk of not being able to make it when the date arrives.
FWIW, I wouldn't rely too much on amenities - both HW and Priceline have been playing games with things lately and there are some resorts with inaccurate ones, like Free Parking and Beachfront on Yacht Club.

To help you ID resorts, feel free to give my Hotwire resort matcher a try! I also have one for Priceline Express, but they have had a lot less deals for Disney lately.

Exactly! I'm going to book a refundable deal at a value resort (probably All Stars or Pop) and then keep looking for something good :)

We scored two rooms at Pop for this Christmas for 40% off between the Hot Rate discount on HW, their first time app code, and cash back. We are saving $200 a night. They also had deals for OKW, Grand Flo, and Yacht Club.
Congratulations! We're considering Dec. 28 to Jan. 1st. I think I see POP for $209. Is that a decent deal for that time of year? If I can find some codes to bring it down a bit, we may try it.
