Who likes/wears ripped jeans?

I like wearing them sometimes, I have a couple pairs. My kid loves them, and I was so excited the last pairs I bought in the teen section had lining under the rips down to about the knees, so she gets to have the ripped look but it meets school dress code requirements.

Kittyblue: So do they kind of make it feel sort of ... airy for you, maybe? or perhaps just plain comfortable and fashionable?

IDK about airy 🤣 I just like wearing that style sometimes.

I don’t like them, but wear the ones my sister gave me because they fit. I have to be careful not to put my foot in the holes when putting them on! :rolleyes2
Yes! I'm constantly getting my toes caught in the holes LOL

They're so widespread now, aren't they? it's how so many of them come; it's how they are.

Sort of, you're fashionable without wanting to be, so to speak, right?

I had a pair when I was about 12, but then I had ripped them falling off my bike. They did not stay ripped for long.

Well, yes, you have you have to learn all over again just a bit to put them on slowly...don't you?

But like you say, it's for the style....:)

I can't stand them; the tailor in me wants to repair them ASAP, but also knows that it is impossible to do properly. My mother was super-strict about us taking good care of our clothing; a rip like that that in the field of the garment fabric (where it would have been impossible to repair without showing) would have caused her to rain down a punishment worthy of the seventh circle of hell, that is, unless the tear happened in an accident severe enough to send me to the ER.

My DD13 and I had a tiff over ripped jeans just a few weeks ago; because I won't allow her to wear them in my home, and I also will not pay for them. If she wants them she can wait until she can earn money to buy them herself, launder them herself, and she can change in and out of them elsewhere, because I don't want to see them, and if she leaves them for me to pick up, they will go straight into the garbage. For the moment she has decided that it isn't worth the effort, LOL.
