I teach HS, Engineering and Architecture. I start my 23rd year in Jan, only 3 more to go! We've been online since March. My students are BEGGING to go back in person. I not sure which will be worst TBH. It's not going to be fun with all the restrictions and guidelines and teaching 1/2 in person and 1/2 at home. UGH.


The cheating is off the charts. My own daughter went from failing every class almost last year to getting all A's because of all the cheating. Torn as a parent but honestly since she knows what she wants to be (dental hygienist) I know a lot of what she needs to know she'll be learning more so in college. I also teach HS and never give tests and quizzes when it's a normal year. So for me testing isn't an issue.

And yet a lot of school systems are reporting that the amount of kids failing is through the roof

DD's airpods have now been sitting in a post office 60 miles north of me for 5 days. They don't seem to be going anywhere. Hoping Costco will send a new pair if necessary.

They may be moving. USPS isn't good about scanning. I have had packages I dropped at the local post office continue to say "Pre-shipment info sent" with no further scans until "Delivered" Crossing fingers they arrive soon.

Thanks @SouthFayetteFan for all the SW updates. I did get my flights for a hopeful trip to Glacier NP this summer. Are you guys as tired of hearing this as I am of saying it!?! It has to happen someday. Right now I have three options in my spreadsheet. 1. Glacier + Banff + Jasper (have to open the border for this to work out); 2. Instead of Banff/Jasper if the border is closed, spend more time in Glacier/Whitefish and Idaho (Sandpoint or Coeur d'Alene); 3. If I am still not comfortable flying; Drive to Glacier, adding a stop at TR NP in North Dakota.

Back to my flights. I have never had this before. I booked and when I was reviewing the email confirmation I see no plane change (stop for 1 hour in Denver). I saw the stop when I booked and noted the time as I wanted to make sure it was long enough for a break and get to the new gate (don't have to do the new gate now). Somehow I glossed over the no plane change part when I was booking. I assume and really hope that they let us off the plane, right? I avoid the plane bathroom and will need a break after the 3+ hours from CMH to DEN.

They should let you off. They used to have little cards you'd put on the seat to let new people know it was occupied. Not sure how they do that part now.

I am hopeful for this!! I shipped a package last Saturday and it has not had a single scan. Customer is asking when it will be shipped... I contacted the local post master and he looked into it and had the regional team check it out and no one can say if it entered the system or not. Just sits at label created. So it was either stolen out of the drop box or has some odd case as you mentioned. Talking with the post master he mentioned that things are really backing up already because flights out are reduced and keep changing around they cannot get stuff out to the regional centers.

I am not expecting that but if it happened I would be ecstatic. Now I guess I will need to spend my dell credit and buy $20 of stamps

If you were able to add the new card to your account, you can download the cardmember agreement under account services. So you don't need to be in suspense longer.

How frustrating....thankfully our PO is 5 minutes away and fingers crossed right now opened...closed in April for weeks due to COVID ...my usually mail lady is great my MIL and her Mom are in the same assisted living...unfortunately when she’s out it’s a mess.

Yes business cards are harder to get now, some here have applied with the same information for themselves and spouse...one was approved, the other wasn’t. Chase also looks at how much credit they have already given, so make sure the CLs on other Chase cards is well under 50% of household income or a max of around $75-80k

Both the CFF and CFU give the 5%...the CFU is a visa and earns 1 1/2% on other purchases, the CFF is a MasterCard and earns 1%

Thank you! Are the rotating categories the same for the CFF as they are for the Chase Freedom? If so, it would make more sense for me to get the CFU as DH already has the CF.

Can anyone give me primer on how Marriott status works? I had 46 nights but we just got home from a 2-night stay (one FNC/one on points). Will those count for 2 more nights? If I am at 48 nights now, can we just book 2 nights somewhere cheap before year end to reach 50 nights and can I book through UR's or does it need to be through Marriott website? Then I'd have platinum elite for 2021?

Congrats! My cardmember agreement shows $0 AF for the first year.* Super deal and darn lucky.

Here are 2 that happened to me. I drop in the box outside the post office every time on the day I print the label. Not going inside to stand in line for 30 minutes, no way, no how.

Same here, my email was in late Nov. You don't know ahead of time about the AF because everything on the application says it will be $595. You just have to be ok with it being charged, and then happy if it turns out in your favor. Most dps I've seen on the $0 AF have been from people with the late Nov NLL email.

My sons' handwriting was so atrocious I was convinced he would become a doctor. He did end up working in a hospital.

My oldest daughter writes as if it is calligraphy - every letter is perfect and stylized.

This is the same for us! My dd's have beautiful handwriting that doesn't even look real so after teaching them penmanship and seeing the results, I thought I was quite the teacher (since I homeschool). Then I had my oldest ds. My 12yo ds's handwriting is so awful. And he just doesn't care at all. My 9yo ds actually has better handwriting than my 12yo and he admires his handwriting so there is hope for him but I've decided the 12yo will just not be someone who will ever have good handwriting and there is little I can do about it
