I know halloweentime just began, but are there any recommendations for the seasonal foods? I’ve had the poison appletini at Carthay and the Witch fingers. The catch is that I’m not able to have eat things with too much dye in them...so many of the cookies and desserts I usually skip out on.

Magic Journeys did a vlog about some of the foods this year, though a lot of them do have those dyes. Might be worth watching though!

I have a very similar problem with food colorings/dyes. If we try anything good that doesn't cause problems, I'll post here! We also tend to skip the sweets, so we go for the savory items. Last year, the seasonal menu in the CC Lounge was very tasty (especially the flatbread)! And I remember that we really liked several of the special items at PGG -- we're looking forward to trying those again.

PSA for the Poison Appletini: From a fellow guest at CC Lounge, do NOT drink this, or two or three, and then go straight to GOTG:MAD. You will regret it. Be kind to yourself and give yourself a little time in between. #whydidIdothat?

The Yule Log from Plaza Inn was really good. I think the only part that had any dye that I noticed was the frosting on top, which could be scraped off.

LOL! I learned my lesson last year with that drink. Except I went on Incredicoaster. Fun but never again!!! Haha

Thanks! I’m going Sunday so if I try some savory items that I like I’ll post here too. I just didn’t know if there were any crowd favorites out there. The witch fingers were pretty good. Granted it’s just pretzels and butter dip. You can’t mess that up. 2 years ago I tried the pumpkin spice churro and that was ok with me.

I’m a newbie to DL, but do they ever add party dates? I’m waiting on a non-party date WOC dessert party and no regular WOC’s have been placed on the entertainment schedule for Oct yet. I know “they” said regular ones would run on non-party dates, but just wondering if maybe they are holding out thinking they will add parties? Just wondering if they ever did that? PS-we have our party tickets for Oct 17th, super excited!

They don't add on dates, at least not in my experience. The WOC schedule has been super slow to come out though. I'm also waiting to snag a WOC on a non-party date. 😆

The pastrami fries at Award Wieners and loaded fries from Galactic Grill both got great reviews from the people I was with.

Does anyone know if I can get the party specific AP magnet by just showing the active AP barcode in my APP and without the physical AP card, I don't really have time to go to the ticket booth until the day after our party.

The party is all sold out!
That beats last year when the parties sold out by 9/25!

Once again because it bears repeating:

For anyone trying to get tickets to a sold out Halloween Party:

1) Call the ticket line ASAP to see if there are any tickets available for the date you want. Maybe or maybe not -- but you won't know until you call.
2) If you are local, try asking at the ticket booths. Sometimes when a party sells out online, there are tickets still available at the booths, not many, but some. Again, worth a shot. But, be aware, some parties have been sold out for while now (see the first post on page one of this thread for the dates each party sold out online), so there may not be any tickets left for those dates.
3) Stay on site the day of your party. In the past, the on site hotels have reserved some (not a lot) of day of party tickets for their guests to be sold first thing in the morning (early!) first come, first served.
4) Choose a different date that is still available and move fast to buy your tickets.
5) Don't do DCA with the OBB, but do a day at DL which will still have all the Halloween Time decorations, special food items, HMH, and Halloween Screams fireworks.

Whatever you do, do not buy OBB tickets through a third party vendor. Disney does NOT authorize Halloween party ticket sales through third party vendors, so the risk of getting scammed and ripped off is real. We get reports every year of people being turned away from the gates with scam tickets. Don't be one of these people and don't support the scammers.

Be sure to check with the OBB fine print to make sure that your cape goes by the rules.

From the DLR website:
For Guests ages 14 and older:
  • Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.

D'oh!
Why did I think I had read that it was at or above the knee....hmmm it does also say if it can be altered in a way then it'll be fine...😬

Are you okay with security making you alter it at bag check? People have reported in past Halloween Time threads that they were made to alter their costumes before being allowed through bag check. It doesn't seem to happen very often, but we do get reports here. You might get through without any problem, but just in case a CM stops you, would you be able to shorten it right there?

Are Halloween characters such as Jack, Sally, Maleficent, and other villains on the app? I just checked and didn’t see any listed. Are they not out today?
