No more lotion...

Why would you be gobsmacked people use the H20 Body Lotion Disney has provided for years? We go twice a year, staying at AKL and the lotion has always been provided. I love it and buy large bottles of it for $26 to use at home. I think its a shame they don't have it in the rooms anymore.

I agree! I love trying all the different products at hotels in different parts of the country, especially the hand and body lotions, bath salts and shower gels. Lots of different brands and fragrances. I pack and use my own small bottles of hair products but it’s a little luxury to vary the creams and bath products.

We didn't have any at BLT in June. I called housekeeping and they sent up a big bag of the individual tubes. The housekeeper did state that they were no longer providing it in the rooms. I'm sad to hear that they won't bring it at all now.

My family likes the H2O products provided at WDW and as others have said, it makes it easier when only bringing carry-on bags. We were at BLT in June and didn’t get any lotion in our villa. The mousekeeper said they aren’t giving it out anymore and didn’t have any on her cart. She said other guests have also asked about it and she doesn’t know why it has been discontinued. When I got back to my villa, there was a bag of it! I now know I will need to bring lotion on future trips. I wish Disney still provided it though

For future trips, you can bring a travel sized lotion (from like Bath and Body Works or similar) and use that on your feet. An easy solution for the future, but that doesn't help anyone who is there now and needs lotion.

Is this real life? Yes, of course we can bring lotion with us. But if I’m paying between 400-500 a night on average for a deluxe resort a small bottle of lotion should be provided. Or if it’s an eco friendly issue, provide the big bottles like they do for shampoo and conditioner at some hotels. This is just one more thing being taken away while prices continue to rise. It’s not ok, and I wish people would stop acting like it is so maybe these cheap and unacceptable changes would stop being made.....

None at the Grand Floridian in the room, but plenty for sale in the shop.

Of course! Not being eliminated entirely just not provided as a courtesy.

I guess having the little hand cream tubes with the Disney logo imprinted at the top isn’t in the marketing budget anymore. Won’t work in the tub dispensers.

It's a bottle of lotion, not insulin.

I'm gobsmacked that people rely on there being a miniscule bottle of lotion to use. I just can't imagine saying "no need to bring my own toiletries...the hotel's teeny bottle of xyz will be all I use". And unless it is a brand I use everyday at home I am not changing brands on vacation (and especially not to that gross sea marine stuff Disney has...yuck).

Looks like everyone will have to do like me and bring their own.

You can send an email to Disney Guest Services and also provide feedback in the survey that you are going to receive.
When I've gotten surveys, there has not been any place to add comments on anything not specifically asked about on the survey. So if the survey does not ask if you're bothered by the lack of lotion in the rooms, there may not be a way to say this on the survey.

It is industry standard, in higher-end hotels particularly, that shampoo, conditioner and lotion (and, in many cases, cotton balls, q-tips, sewing kits, etc.) are provided for guests. I actually find it odd that WDW brought up the "industry standard" point when implementing overnight parking fees for resort guests when they won't adhere to "industry standard" when it comes to the amenities they provide, particularly, in their deluxe resorts. This past June we stayed in a random Hampton Inn on the side of a highway in MA and even they had small bottles of lotion (and shampoo and conditioner). So, I was actually surprised that the lotion wasn't in our BCV villa last week, but it's not a huge deal to me. Who knows what is happening with the WDW/H2O partnership and what caused this downsizing - perhaps it's in preparation for the bigger dispensers to be installed in the rooms?

During our recent Dolphin stay in addition to the standard small toiletry bottles, our room had 2 tubes of toothpaste, mouthwash and a toothbrush. Not a big deal but I appreciated the toothpaste as after a long stay at the Poly we were getting low on toothpaste.

No idea why the change. As I said I'm just surprised that so many people relied on those teeny bottles being provided.

This is one of those things about WDW resorts that annoys me to no end, they claim that they want to follow industry standards and then they remove lotion! They already don't have lotion at the value resorts, which is terrible and not in line with industry standards, I have stayed at Super8 motels that have lotion, WDW value resorts are the only hotels I have ever stayed at that do not provide this.

This makes me extra annoyed because I wear sandals in WDW and my feet get dry and need lotion at night, so I really can't do without, and I don't want to use my expensive facial lotion that I already pack on my feet.

Omg. Bring your own. I literally can’t believe you are so upset about this...

I’m far from upset about this, but it is annoying to have to pack one more thing we didn’t used to have to pack. Not to mention, if I hadn’t read about it here I wouldn’t know I needed to pack it.

For the people who think it’s so ridiculous to be annoyed by this, would you feel the same if it was the shampoo/conditioner/body wash that was no longer complimentary?
