I love credit cards so much!

Just thinking further out for my dd18, she has a new Discover IT, has been an AU'er on my CF for over a year, and was on my CSP before that. So, I would say she has some credit history going back 18 mos or so. She also has her own Chase checking account, an Ally savings that is under our account and her own PNC checking. Is it crazy to think she could apply for another card in 6 mos or so? And are there any Chase cards that are good for young newbies? Disney maybe?

Idk what the income requirements are for the Disney card, but I got the Amazon card a bit after my Discover. Wouldn’t recommend her getting that tho. Also, I used my student income of like 2,000 and got approved for the Freedom Unlimited. So I think the lower end cards she should be fine. Idk if you need a certain income for the Sapphires.

I would refer her for her own Chase Freedom. Or a Freedom Unlimited which might be good so she doesn't have to worry about categories. I wouldn't waste a slot on Disney.

Did the statement close since they were approved? I remember mine showing up after the statement closed. Congrats on two bonuses!!!!
No, statement hasn't closed yet which is a bummer because it won't close until after we get back from our trip. Oh well, I'll just save the rewards to use next time! Thanks!

Hmm, someone on this thread said they used my Disney link over a month ago. I never got any points, thought maybe they got denied. Wonder if I still may see them? It was my one and only referral - ever. So sad. I keep posting away hoping someone will pick me eventually!

Yes. As long as you are an executive member before travel you get 2% back on the cruise fare (not port taxes). I'm upgrading this month just for this. Our Alaska cruise is in a few weeks so it's a no-brainer as the cruise fare is over $8000 for two staterooms so the membership increase is more than offset.
Is there a way to get a summary of the 2% earned? That’s probably asking too much. I share a Costco membership wi5h my sister. At year end, the amount we get is usually $10-20 over the AF. So she usually pays the AF and pockets the rest, which is fine because she has a bigger family and spends more there. However, after our cruise, I would like my extra 2% and it would be easier to have a statement

I have been on the Dis since 2005. Just now got to 1000 posts. party:
And to keep you on your toes- changed my profile pic. The first one lasted 13 years the second one only a few weeks. Will see how long this third one lasts.
Ha ha. Freaked me out until I saw this. Reading thru posts and read one of yours. Get to the next page, different pic. I’m thinking I must have names confused, maybe 2 are close (for what’s its worth someone once tagged me as Cyndiloowho)

good advice on what to do but if I were flying to Seattle (possible in 2019), I'd be hitting up Olympic NP and Mt Rainier NP.

wasnt planning on venturing out of the city but one of my family members is requesting it, How many days would u recommend Mount Rainier. Its more of just driving around and looking. probably no 1 full day hikes.
perhaps, drive there, then stay a night, then come back to Seattle?

And your statement closed already? Maybe they didn't get approved :( I'm sorry!!

She has about 3k currently for income. Not sure how that will change being a FT college kiddo. She babysits like a mad woman, and is paid well :) Maybe we will plan on a CF in about 6 mos to dip her toes in.

Am I crazy? I swear I saw a post last night with a link to sign up for some SW email list for bonus points. I wasn't home at the time so I was coming back to look for it and now I don't see it.
I think if you already get SW emails, you won’t be eligible. Try unsubscribing from Emails, then you might get targeted.
ETA: Can’t find anywhere in my account to see what emails I’m subscribed to but I get a lot, so I’m guessing ‘all’

It might be a targeted offer. I already get SW emails and I received it. If it's available, it should be on your SW RR account on the SW website under the "promotions" tab.

I honestly don’t know. This is our first time upgrading so I’ve never seen what they send out.
