Thanks! I had the same thought about Sunset time (longest days of the year) but I checked Touring plans for 2017 and there were two shows at 9 PM and 10:15. So 9:30 Dessert party threw me. I think you are spot on-- Paint the Night is the change this year. I booked WCT dinner instead, but might switch to Dessert Party. It's gotta be packed that first weekend--and the chairs sound really nice.

Isn't the 2nd show in the summer often at closing time? Seems like it is a day to day thing so probably no dessert party for 2nd show?

Unless there has been a recent change, I think the Dessert Party is only for the first show. With PTN now in the mix, it will be very interesting to see what the new schedule looks like when WOC comes back.

I am going to miss the 2nd WOC if there is only one! We always wait on the bridge and eat a snack then get front row for the 2nd show. With only one the reservations may be necessary. I've never been able to justify the cost of the DP. Does anyone have a guess what the Dinner reservation area will be?

Not sure what you are asking. The viewing areas for dining packages are pretty well defined. Is that your question?

I'm guessing it won't change from previous shows, but I can't really remember exactly where it was?? I'm thinking right in the center but does it extend to the "splash area" at the rail and/or is it raised above general FP? I know most people seem to prefer the Desert Party Seating...what are opinions on reserved dining area views?

My opinion is given in the WOC Superthread - see my signature. You need to arrive super early and make extra effort to get one of the good viewing spots.

How far in advance do I need to book a WOC dessert party? We are going mid-July, so those dates should be opening soon I'm guessing. I'm not sure what night of our trip we want to go yet, but if I need to choose and book it as soon as our dates open I will.

Depends on the size of your group. Sometimes the final week before is fine. If I were you, and I did not know which night I wanted to see WOC, I would book the Dessert Party on multiple nights. Then, once it gets closer to July, I would choose a night and cancel the other nights.

Thanks! There is only three of us. If you book multiple nights, do you get charged up front for all of them , and then if you cancel within the window you get a refund?

Not sure but I do not think you get charged until day of.

It's been a while, so I don't have access to any receipts, but I thought we were charged up front. Of course, that could just be my Disney paranoia assuming the worst... I always assume that with anything Disney related I will be charged in total, up front, so I make sure the account is ready to take the hit.

Yes, you are charged up front. For four of us on 6/29, it was a total of $315.74.

World of Color has been officially added to the entertainment schedule, beginning June 22nd. Notably, there's only one WOC at 10:15 pm and one PTN at 8:50 pm. It appears they decided to handle the logistical challenges by only playing WOC once per night, at least to start.
