Disney Gift Card Deals

Thank you @havaneselover ! So I get the BB shop page up on Swagbucks mobil site using their app, correct? Then take my BB gc to the counter with my loadable Disney card, have them scan the QR code, then pay for my Disney gc with my BB gc, is that right? You said you do 2/per week. Is that in one shopping trip, one card at a time or two trips? So have you made $30 SB's then? Can I use my $450 BB card bought through Cashstar, or only can buy one $50 disney gc at a time?

Oh yeah, any idea how long this runs? DD27 is going to disney with her DH and they'd have to move quick I guess to convert some of these I guess.
Sorry for more questions, but thank you again!

You can do the full $450 at once but you'd get the same 500sb bonus as if you did the $50 since the bonus is for purchases of $50 or more. So to maximize the value, as @havaneselover suggests, you'd want to split that amount into smaller transactions... ideally 9 $50 GC's to max it out but that may not be practical for everyone.

I don't think there is an expiration date, SB has been doing it for months now, but like all things can change at anytime.

I do see a QR code in the app, which is what I scanned on Saturday. How do you know SB generates a new code for each shop? How do I know the code I'm looking at is not the same one I scanned last time?
Pure speculation but someone said they used the same qr code twice and only got one bonus. But maybe there’s a limit to one per day??? I just don’t risk it and get a new qr code every time.

Every time you use the 'get code' button (or link I forget what it looks like) it generates a new code. You can tell by the pattern of blocks, it's easier to spot sometimes over others. But every time I hit the button I get a different code, even if it's within a minute of each other. So they should all be connected to your account and in theory should continue to work, however, as a better safe than sorry probably doesn't hurt to use a new one each trip.

There was a mistake in the listing, they have revised it now...it is buy a $150 Best Buy gift card, get a $10 Best Buy savings code (which must be used by 3/30.) This only comes out to a 6.25% savings; however, if you have an old Chase ink MasterCard you can still earn 5% back at PPDG.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Buy-a-Best-Buy-150-gift-card-and-Get-an-additional-10-Savings-Code-Via-Email/263533593107?hash=item3d5bd38213:g:Rb4AAOSwuUZamIMM&afepn=5337259887&rmvSB=true
Listing down again. What a mess. Who knows what it will come back as?! (Fyi those old Chase Ink MasterCards were rumored to be being converted to the new Ink cards, something to watch for if you have one. They're supposed to send a letter to those affected.)

ETA: listing wasn't down, your link is bad. Here's the updated one https://www.ebay.com/itm/Buy-a-Best-Buy-150-gift-card-and-Get-an-additional-10-Savings-Code-Via-Email/263533593107?_trkparms=5079:5000006550
and it has definitely been upped to $150 gift card for $10 savings code. Too bad.

The old Chase Mastercards have been converted to visa cards, and they have already sent the new ones; however, you can still use the old card until April 30. (which is why I haven't activated the new card yet.)

People on other forums have said they cancelled the orders of people who purchased on the old listing, as it was originally saying $100 for a $160 Best Buy gift card.

Nice!!

O.M.G. PPDG is making Disney IT look practically perfect!

In another note, after 9 weeks, 14 phone calls, and 7 emails, I finally got Sam's Club to issue a new gift card for the one that I got back from the Amex offers that couldn't be activated. They gave me an extra $10 on the gift card (I'm not sure if that was by mistake or to make up for all my troubles, but either way - I will take it.)

IBotta has a bonus now spend $250 on mobile shopping and get $10 back, spend $500 get $20. I think I’ll try buying target gift cards with my red card to get this deal.

I only got the bonus once when using the same QR code for 2 separate transactions. Since then I have generated a new QR and then saved it to my photos for each $50 I cashed out. Did 5 in a row the other day. 5 different QR codes. 5 different bonuses plus the 2% posted. I have now done this on $900 of cards split between DH and my accounts. No issues so far.

I can’t get a qr code from the app. I use swagbucks.com on safari on my phone or if I use my laptop I print the qr code.
I do two shopping trips. New qr code each time. Bb is on my way home from work. Yes, $30 plus the shop and earns which credit after 32 days. I think to get the bonus you only want to do one $50 gift card at a time.
No clue how long this lasts. I hope indefinitely!
Okay, yeah, I use SB on my phone thru safari, as well. How do you find a QR code on your laptop? Nice deal making another $30 plus on purchasing 6 disney gc's! I hope it lasts a good long time as well, lol!

Well it's a great deal, not sure how I missed this, it's really a nice deal, using BB cards you already got at a discount, and then get more discount! Certainly makes sense to get the most out of this deal doing in $50 increments. I was hopeful the $450 would work for ease of not having to go so often. It's going to be my DD27 and her husband who will be the ones going,(I had an issue with our local BB a couple years ago and don't go anymore), and she's gonna want it as easy as can be, she hates going in to do stuff like this lol. But it's certainly worth the effort, and hopefully lasts a good while, along with the 2% shop bonus!

Okay, definitely would want to get one QR code for each $50 purchase, no use going there not knowing if it will work again, and DD27 would not be happy lol. I've tried several times on the computer, searching for the BB shop thingy to activate the shopping trip to get a code and haven't gotten one yet. I thought about printing them out to make it easy for them to hand over a printed QR code for a Disney gc, giving them a stack of them.
But getting the QR code on my iphone, that might be even easier, saving to photos. Wondering if it matters if they each did a couple, if they went in together, or should go separately.

This is basically what DD27 and her DH want to do. But one at a time, at nine disney gc's per $450 card, (they have two), so that's 18 trips! And they only have two weeks before leaving. So, did you do 5 in a row, as in standing there doing one after the other? Did they say anything or ask why each was a separate transaction? Maybe I'll drive out to a couple other BB's on the weekend and do some there for them, and they can do the local ones.

Again thanks to all for all this help, definitely appreciated in my quest for Disney gift card deals!

On laptop, go to shop. In search bar, put “Best Buy.” Click on “2% cash back.” On right hand side there is a blue box which says “in-store shopping.” Click “get code.” Print it out and you are set.

For my total of $900 I went in 4 times altogether over 2 weeks. 3rd time I went in the guy was a pro at it! I should have done all 9 I had left instead of 5. I did 5 in a row. I labeled each QR code in my phone with a number so I did not mix them up. Scan Dis gift card, scan qr code, then scan BB gift card which I also added to photos. 3 different cashiers from 2 different locations did not even bat an eye about doing 4-5 transactions in a row. Swagbucks no issues crediting multiple in a row for the same day as well. I have more concern with swagbucks than Best Buy. I have done SB for a while now and have heard of people getting banned before for random reasons. So I may cash out quicker to be on the safe side this time. But I figure it’s worth the risk over the hassle of going into Best Buy like 9 separate times.
