Are Minnie Vans available for all resorts yet?

Gotcha, thanks!

Follow-up question for anyone (or I'll take a referral number or email to find out): Does anyone know if they will charge double for transport of 2 ECV's?

(sorry for all the questions--Mom is coming off of an unsuccessful knee replacement and Dad is still in the fight of his life with stage 4 of the big C word, so I'm trying to plan WAY ahead for their peace of mind)

Would at least one ECV be portable (breaks down into parts) and the person be able to transfer into the vehicle? If yes, I would think they could handle that. But if both ECVs need to remain intact and tied down, then I expect that would require 2 cars and (presumably) double cost since the accessible service only indicates ability to transport 1 mobility device. Much like if a family needs 3-4 car seats, I would expect to be charged for 2 vehicles since each only promises 2 car seats. Please report back and let us know.

Enjoy your vacation and make lots of special memories!

For MK, yes.

For other locations, like AK, the drop-off location of Minnie Vans (back of bus lot) is much worse than a regular Lyft/taxi/uber/etc.
And according to our drivers last week, they are eventually going to move all pick up/drop off spots to Bus Stop locations. They are currently working on that. It's just taking time.
I told them that I wished they'd leave them with the passenger drop off/pick up as those are closer to the gates for all but MK.
The driver told me they want them to be able to use different entrances/drives in to the parks.

Do we have any new intel on whether they will service POP or any values? Curious for January when we won't have a car with us.
They currently only have regular 25 Minnie vans plus 2 accessible one (that accommodate an ecv) so I think they are maxed out until they add more vehicles and drivers (which as @AngiTN said is not supposedly happening any time soon)

I haven't actually seen the accessible van but when I was talking to our driver last week asking details about how all this works he said the accessible van is much larger to accommodate one ECV and has a lift to load it so I don't think that 2 can be accommodated. If you have to request both accessible vans I'd assume you'd pay $40 and probably have a longer wait than just using the bus which can accommodate multiple ECV at once. I have the card somewhere with the phone number I will look for it if you want to call for specifics.

Disney may not have known they were there. Officially. That's all I'm saying. It could have been a buddy of some bell services CM that was sitting around because that buddy let him. That doesn't mean Disney let him. And I'm not saying that is what it was either. I'm saying I would never get in a car that wasn't arranged through a service because I don't know that the driver has been vetted in any way. Others are obviously free to do so if they wish. But it won't stop me from giving a word of caution to any who choose to do so to make sure they realize what the situation is. You don't know, that's all I'm saying. A driver arranged with Lyft/Uber/Minnie Vans, you do.
after a ton of searching, I finally came across who it most likely was. family one transportation is a Disney approved transportation service that shuttles people all over. They would be staged at the valet stand to take people to the airport or off site places. They also offer transportation to the parks. That would explain why we only seen them in the mornings. Probably waiting on families needing to go to the airport. either way, the drivers were super nice! we had one driver twice. But, this is the Minnie Van thread and thats what we will take if we can get it or we will call for lyft when going to AK or HS from now on.

We will be guests at WL in March and have Mickeys Backyard BBQ at FT Wilderness booked on a night at 5:30. We want to leave there and go to Epcot for PM EMH. Can a Minnie Van pick us up somewhere at FW? Has anyone been able to use it to get to/from MBYBBQ or HDDR?

Thanks!

Minnie Vans can go to Pioneer Hall at FW, which is where HDDR is. I actually don't know where the BBQ is held. Is it the same location?

No tip. They don't accept tips.
Depends on the driver-my husband automatically tried to tip them. We had 4 different drivers and 3 of the 4 took the tip. Not sure if they are supposed to or not but some will accept it.

Technically, no they are not. But seeing how there's no one there to see I'm sure some will accept them.

Hmm...so many changes at WDW. I'm going to stay old school and just use regular transportation options. $20 is not worth it to me. I'm too cheap lol.

When ya gotta go resort to resort, old school can really suck up time. For going to parks, I tend to agree with you, we stick with regular buses most of the time. Though a call for a ride service for a 10 min ride for 7 AM rope drop is a lot more appealing than a 30+ min trip via a bus (hard to know how long your wait will be). Extra 30 min of sleep is actually pretty valuable

My kids are 5 and 7. Would they need boosters in either the Minnie Vans or regular Lyft/Uber/etc during our visit?

Legally, no (ETA: not for 7yo, yes for 5yo - thx to Angi for correction!) - safety-wise, yes. Kids that age won't fit properly into adult seat belts (which doesn't change just because Florida has the weakest passenger safety laws in the nation - unfortunately!) If you don't want to shell out for a Minnie Van, you could always pick up something like a Bubblebum and just tote it with you.

I believe 5 and under do have to be in a booster/car seat. We took a Minnie Van 4 times with different drivers each time and every time they asked my son’s age they immediately set up the booster seat (he is 5).
