Disney's BOARDWALK INN Information & Questions

How are you supposed to know that there is a bounce back if you don't have the offer in your room? Some returning guests might know the "special phone number" you need to call to see if there is a bounce back being offered, but if you are a first time visitor to WDW you wouldn't have a clue. Eliminating the bounce back offer entirely is one thing, but still having it available and not let anyone know about it doesn't make any sense.

She told me there would be no more bounce back offers.

Just a heads up: I was told today by a cm at BWI front desk (in person, not phone) that they are not putting bounce backs in the rooms. No word if that'll change. Kind of a bummer
They haven't put them in any resort we've stayed in for over a year. Not just BWI. You have to call to ask for them

Person at Boardwalk front desk in March said there was no Bounceback. She was wrong.

There was a bounce back in the booklet at BWI in July.
In our room too.

I agree with the poster who said it doesn't seem right for them to not put the offers in the room. Anyone who isn't already aware of the bounce back offers wouldn't know to call to inquire about them. So not putting them in the room seems rather unfair.

What?! I would call the dedicated line for bounce back offers to verify this...it's the first I've heard of Disney eliminating these offers.

What's the dedicated number, plz?
She told me they discontinued bounce back offers a few weeks ago. So, I'm wondering, did the cm lie to me or did she not know offers were still available? She was a concierge desk cm. I'd have thought she would be in the know. ‍♀️

H. Irma update: they have closed the parks Sunday & Monday. We had planned on going to DS today but with help from a nice cm, we were able to transfer all our plans from Sunday to today. As for Monday, we were told we'd have to go to guest services at a park & probably wait in a long line (her words) to get a refund on one day ticket or replacement ticket for a later day. Not excited about another line, but it's nice that we should be reimbursed in some way for the ticket we can't use. Also, some cms have given wrong information about or different information about what's going to be open at the resorts on Sunday & Monday. Guess they're as confused as we are.

It's x8844. Or 407-939-1923. I'd have guessed the concierge CM would know, too, but this is the first I've heard of the bounce backs being discontinued. Maybe she was just confused, thinking if the offers weren't in rooms, they didn't exist.

We checked out of BWI yesterday morning. There was a booklet that included the bounceback info on the desk in our room.
It sounds like they really aren't consistent on this.

Thank you.

I know you mentioned driving to all of the parks. We always have a car and I would suggest to only drive to AK. Walk to EP or HS and bus to MK. The buses run often and if you drive to MK you have another 30 minutes just getting from the parking lot to the MK.

Thanks for the tips. We were planning on doing all walking to Epcot, though our only HS day is on checkout, and we were thinking about packing up the car, driving to HS for the morning/early afternoon, and then driving to check in at Poly (rather then sending backs).

On our second day, we're at Magic Kingdom all day ... but 2 of the 4 of us have got to be there by 8am for a Keys to the Kingdom Tour (and then there all day, with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at night). We were debating what would be best - driving, Uber or these new Minnie Vans. We're already spending a gob of money that day, and I HATE riding in buses, so it's got to be one of those options.

Recently added more BWV points so we will be staying here a lot. We love the location.

Trips booked....
Oct 1-5 in studio for DH and I and I booked studio for SIL and BIL
March 3-10, 2018 in studio for DH and I and booked studio for MIL and FIL

Will be booking F&W 2018 at BWV as well. Not sure what dates we want though.

Everyone there now...stay safe!

Hi all! I feel like this should be clear to me, but it just isn't. :(

  • If I book a "water view" room at BoardWalk Inn, is this guaranteed to also be a Boardwalk view??
  • And can I request a King or 2 Queens? Is this just a request, not a guarantee?
Haven't stayed here in ages, and the one time we did it was in a Villa. Thanks!

Yes. Water view is of the Boardwalk
And yes bed type is by request only

Can you log our dates? We will be there 11/9 - 11/16. So excited for our first delux resort!

I'm feeling more official a I booked my flights home and since we have a late home (8pm flight) so we'll have almost another full day At the parks on our last day!

Plus I just want to get us back on page 1:rolleyes1

I love getting a late flight home from Disney. It is like getting a whole extra day of vacation! I still need to make our flight arrangements. Prices go up, then down, then up . . .

Glad you got this back to page 1.

Does anyone have any reports on how BWI/BWV fared with Irma?
