Fantasy Deck 7 Cabin issues?

Anyone else here of issues with multiple cabins,Starboard side deck 7 of the Fantasy? With 3 weeks to sail we were just swapped to Port Side deck 10. Last week I checked and the ship was fully booked. Now we have space?

Ok, not at all happy,, so anyone can tell us what Deck 10 is like? Is there noise from Deck 11?

There can be "noise" from deck 11. Just like there can be "noise" on any other deck. Depending on the location of your room, the noise will vary. Could be people just walking along, could be deck chairs being moved about, could be music (from shows on deck), could be nothing.

Sounds like you got an upgrade, congratulations.

At first I was all excited we did. But after a long look, no,, just a cabin change....

We've sailed twice on Fantasy deck 10. In the morning there can be some deck chair 'scraping' but it's not too early. In the evening, none of us have ever noticed any noise from the deck to keep us up (and we live in the country and are used to super-quiet nights). We love the proximity to topside, drinks, Cabanas...

Could you be more specific about what rooms? There are different category rooms on both those decks. And not a lot of overlap on the same category being on both decks.

Thank you,, its a bit troubling that the reason is the 3 cabins , all over deck 7 were placed "out of service". I wonder who V what happened. But still love Disney, I suppose...

Hi, they swapped cabin category for exact same cabin category.

I would think, if DCL put 3 rooms "out of service" and moved you to other rooms of the same category, there a pretty good reason.

You said the cabins were all over deck 7... were they all aft (or mid or forward) at least? What about where you've been placed? Have you been moved closer together?

Mid Aft,,, 7610 was ours,,, Disney says they are changing the carpets.

Um...7610 is a 4C category. Deluxe Family Oceanview with Verandah?

Deck 10 doesn't have any 4Cs. There are 4As on deck 10.

If the carpets need to be replaced or other maintenance needs to be done, it needs to be done. Would you rather have ratty (by Disney standards) carpet and/or mechanical issues in the cabin??

Well, in reality, you're not guaranteed that the ship will even sail, when you book a cruise. DCL, as most cruiselines, reserves the right to change anything about your cruise (itinerary, dates) even change the ship, if they want/need to.

I'm in the camp any cruise is better than no cruise. And a 4A is "better" than a 4C.

It sucks when you've had your heart set on something and you get stuck somewhere different, but even though the rooms will be essentially the same, (4C=4A only higher up), DCL does value the 4As more than the 4Cs. If you'd bought the 4A you'll be getting, it was probably a few hundred more than you paid. So DCL thinks this is a bonus for you. Interesting, as you say, that all your party has been moved for rug replacement. I wonder if there was a general leak in that area or if this was just a matter of trying to pixie dust your whole party by moving you upwards?

Anyway, maybe you'll notice some noise or maybe you'll be too tired to notice. I bet you'll have a great time on deck 10 anyway.

We have sailed on Deck 10 about 6 times all the way forward on Starboard side. We are under the Rainforest though and it is super quiet.
I am on the September 23rd sailing and there are many GTY cabins that were assigned and then changed to other categories/decks. I believe the word is that they are re-carpeting them.

That being said, as of a couple of days ago they were still selling verandah cabins for full price at GTY for the family verandahs and other categories for parties of 2 for regular verandahs. Evidently, it will not be a full sailing despite FL resident rates that were a screaming deal the past months. This is okay with me.

I have never stayed midship or aft on Deck 10 though because I would imagine you would hear chairs scraping and the sounds from Cabanas as well. Even certain cabins forward under the adult pool area are probably going to hear sounds.

To elaborate, on both of our deck 10 Fantasy cruises, we were midships (same cabin even)

Reality check: If you feel that strongly about it, not ones forcing you to go on the cruise...
