Can you use a Disney gift card to buy the gift card Lanyard?

Can you use a Disney gift card to buy the gift card Lanyard?
Usually the policy is you can not used a Disney Gift card to purchase another Disney Gift card.

One possible way around it is if they allow you to charge the Gift Card Lanyard to your room charge if you are staying on Disney Property you can then apply the other Disney gift card against your room charge balance.

Have you successfully done this?? Just wondering because last time I tried to do this they would not let me. I had to pay for the gift card with cash or credit and could not charge to my room. This was in 2015 so it may have changed. I will be there in 8 days so I would love to do this.

I've never done it myself. I know there have been isolated reports of people being able to actually use a gift card to purchase another gift card but that goes against policy. People have suggested the room charge option but I don't know if anyone has actually been successful charging against their room to buy a gift card. All anyone can do is ask but be prepared to be told no. I know someone who used their Disney Visa to purchase the special holiday gift cards that came with the gift pins & then use the gift cards to purchase an AP.

The only merch I've seen available on the shop parks app so far is the figment stuff. Do they usually release some early and then more as the festival officially opens? Or will that be it?

I think there's more merch than the Figment stuff, but it's very confusing. I saw a Remy-themed mug in one of the previews that looked great but I haven't seen it in subsequent photos. I'll try not to worry about it till I get there.

I have personally bought the $200 giftcard and you cannot use room charge. Also you cannot use another Disney giftcard to get it.

Yeah I'll survive till I see it in person, just wondering since the mnsshp ended up not stocking a whole themed line of party merch. Just musing whether the festival might have the same problem.

And I hope not because I like the passport stamp mug and glasses!

@randumb0 So basically, the Craft Beer exhibit has been renamed the "Epcot Legacy Showplace."

Silly me was thinking that the Legacy thing would be in addition to Craft Beers.

Just verifying - since obvious isn't always - the limited time F&W $200 gift card can be used anywhere at disney - right? not just for F&W locations.....

Thanks Everyone I will be prepared I guess to pay full price for the Lanyard if I have to :(

Trying to plan our visit to the F&W Festival and curious what is an estimate of the number of dishes two people could share (two adults with fairly large appetites but not insanely huge appetites). I know this question is extremely variable by person but even a vague idea would be helpful. Can we assume 5 dishes? 10 dishes? 15 dishes? TIA

What is the cost of items at F&W? Is the lanyard & GC a good deal?

The prices have not been released yet this year but they tend to run anywhere from $5 to around $7.50. Not sure what you are asking about the lanyard and GC. The GC that goes around your wrist is just that, a gift card but it does make it a little easier to pay for things instead of digging for money, the same for the $200 lanyard. There is a coupon thing you can buy but I'm not sure how much it costs and it seems to only pay for itself if you are ordering the high price drinks.

If you are sharing, I'd guess about 5 dishes before you got full. My son and I do about 3, he has a larger appetite than I do and we rarely finish every sample we buy.
