When do you shower? AM or PM?

We have always stayed in a suite at AofA but this trip we are staying in a savanna view room at AKL. So we only have 1 bathroom. Just wondering how most people manage their time? Does everyone shower at night even though we don't get back to the room till 11 or 12 and it might make it harder for the kids to go to sleep while we are showering/drying hair? Do some shower in the morning and risk waking up the kids due to using the hair dryer since there doesn't seem to be a door to the vanity area at AKL?

Super excited to stay at AKL....just obsessing over the details that I know will all fall in place in the end and the trip will be magical ;)

Both. Anyone sleeping can just deal with it! :-)

YUP YUP.

Trained them up early. Ran that vacuum as babies.

And if there is anywhere they are tired, drooling and sleeping hard it is WDW.

I shower in the morning. I've got curly hair and I can't sleep on wet hair, I'll look electrocuted by morning! My kids could sleep through a parade marching through the room so it really doesn't matter.

It's a good question. I struggle with when to shower at WDW. At home it's in the morning, but I'm always in such a rush on our trips to get everyone breakfast and get out the door to a park that I don't have time to shower. Usually I opt for mid-afternoon when we come back for a break. Then if there's time, I can dry my hair. The days when we have something planned mid-afternoon, though, I end up showering at night. Which I hate. I don't like to sleep with wet hair, and using the hair dryer wakes my family. Not to mention, I am so exhausted at the end of the day that the last thing I want to do is shower. I want to come back to the room and jump into bed!

This was what we struggled before deciding on Poly villa studio , enough room for 4 adults to get ready without someone hogging bathroom time. That would be DD who is 5 lol given 2 rooms with the bathtub and shower everyone can get ready in morning or refresh at night.

Me. Morning. Before anyone else is up.
DH. Morning. Last
DGD. Night
DD, rare trip she is with us, varies

Does going in the pool count? I'd say twice, it's sweaty out there!

Have a great time at AKL! We just got back! You may want to factor in a hair more resort time, because you will find yourself spending at least a good 1/2 hour just staring at the animals in the savanna from your balcony! Maybe even more with some coffee :cool2:

Also, we brought a pair of binoculars this trip and it really enhanced the whole experience!! That will factor in another 1/2 hour :thumbsup2

I don't necessarily think it's a stupid question, from a time management standpoint. If you are used to traveling with multiple bathrooms, and you find yourself with just one, finding out how other families make the best use of the time and facilities available is just part of the planning process. It's a lot easier to get a family out the door if you have multiple bathrooms available, and if you're used to everyone having their own bathroom at home, having just one can seem daunting from a scheduling standpoint. After all, we all want to get out the door as quickly as possible and head to the parks.

OP - our group prefers morning showers, so we start with the person who takes the longest to get ready AFTER the shower, and work down to the one who is basically wash and go. Usually by the time the last one has showered, the first one is finally ready to go. A white noise machine can help mitigate the noise of people getting ready, so others can continue to doze until their turn. I have a white noise app on my phone that works very well for this. Having some quick breakfast foods available in the room can also help pass the time, so that you don't have to stop for breakfast once you leave the room.
