Anyone know if there are any issues paying a Chase mortgage with Plastiq?

About two months ago, Plastiq received new guidelines from Visa not to process mortgage payments on Visa cards, and a lot of users were blocked from paying their mortgages using Visas, but this ban seems to affect mostly large banks and institutional lenders. YMMV. If you're trying to pay Chase with a Visa through Plastiq, it probably won't work. Amex and MasterCards still work, and in fact Plastiq suggests changing your card (to Amex or MC) if you get that error with a Visa.

If you are trying to meet a minimum spend (or just earn points) by paying your mortgage on a Visa, you can use Tio .com (owned by PayPal), which has a list of payees that accept payments through their service, including most of the major mortgage companies.

Sorry, meant to specify with the AMEX, that is minimum spend I am needing to meet.

you should still have a personal login though. I also have a Personal login and a Personal/Business account login. I must have set up my Personal login up with chase pay, im not sure why haha.

Approximately over the last 1 to 2 years, it was Chase's policy to automatically cancel a personal profile once it was merged with a business profile. Some Chase Tech Reps did not enforce the rule and left many personal profiles still functioning (yours evidently). However, many were closed (mine was) according to policy. They have since revised this policy to allow both personal and business profiles. Chase Pay cannot be used from a strictly business profile. So anyone that had their personal profile closed during the short policy period must re-create their personal profile to activate and use Chase Pay even though they have personal cards contained within their business profile. It took me about 4 minutes to re-create the profile in conjunction with Chase Tech and I used Chase Pay for the 10X deal on 3 of my personal cards.

So do you now have two separate logins?

Ok thanks. Maybe I will just skip the gift card option and do Plastiq instead. Anyone know if there are any issues paying a Chase mortgage with Plastiq? That I could monitor better to make sure it was paid timely than my dd's rent to a small landlord.
I paid Chase mortgage via Plastiq on both Amex & Chase Visa cards.(despite the fact that Visa is YMMV on this, worked for me)

Yeah booked air for Disney trip in March!
Does anyone know if you earn miles for fares paid with SW gift cards?
Yay :) I need to book my flight too, thanks for the reminder. I was thinking that I needed to wait until our Dec trip as my husband is my companion but plan to switch to my DD for our March trip.

Just used Chase Pay for all 3 cards, CFU, Freedom and CSR on the Walmart dot com deal. I bought Walmart GCs.

I went through the British Airways portal which was offering 4 Avios miles per dollar on Walmart. Then I went back a second time through the BA portal to get to Sam's, also at 4 Avios per dollar to purchase discounted Disney gift cards with the Walmart gift cards. 7500 UR points, 6,000 BA miles and almost 5% off Disney gift cards is a pretty good stacking deal for me. YAY!

Yes This is allowed.
You would have to join Sam's Club though right? It's not like BJ's where you can get the Disney GC online.? Can you buy Disney GC's with the WM GC? I don't think it would be worth joining Sam's and I don't want to be stuck with WM GCs. Welcome back, hope TX wasn't too blazing hot for you.

Yes, you would need to be a Sam's club member (I'm not but my aunt is so she ordered them for me tonight). And you can use WM gc's at Sam's club to purchase Disney gc's. Sometimes Sam's has guest days but no way to tell when they do those or if you would have to pay more.

Thank you! TX *was* blazing hot but I love the heat so no issue there. We had lake time, pool time and beach time :) My boys got to ride in tractors and we all fished. We ate the fish we caught as well as mussels we pulled out of the lake and we ate fried alligator. It was completely awesome!

American Airline bed is currently offering 1500 miles to join Sam's club on the basic $45 membership. It is more for AA members with status and for Sam's Pro memberships, up to 5,000.

I just got approved for the CSR! Is there a number to call to get the card quick or secure message? DH wants to do a last minute trip next weekend.

So do you now have two separate logins?

Yes. Each profile requires a separate login. However, all of my cards (personal and business) are still listed in my business profile, so the only time I'd need to use the personal profile login is for another Chase Pay bonus if offered. I kept the logins very similar, so it's really a non-event for me and well worth it to have taken advantage of the promo offer.

I'm glad you got the portal bonus too. I have minimal success with ANY portals when purchasing gift cards (unless my purchase is from Raise, lol).

this is beautiful! Question -when I go to app store- I see more than one 'chase pay ' option- the first just says chase pay,the second looks more legit and says chase mobile.....which is it? I'm thinking the 2nd? I'm leery that theres more than one...or.... it looks like mobile is for just banking...and I have to use the pay app

Got my 50,000 miles on the Delta gold card credited like 24 hours after the purchased posted! That'll pay for a ticket for one of us to travel next time, so hooray!

AHHHH I can't get this- so I can use chase pay through my regular computer to purchase at WM, thru a portal? but I have to get the app and setup thru my phone first...is this right? Do I need to do anything else for the 10x points? Or am I wrong and I have to purchase thru my phone only and the actual app?

Just read an article in the Wall Street Journal about a rewards card B of A is introducing next month. It looks very attractive if you have a lot of money sitting in a B of A savings account. Sign up bonus is 50k points for $3k in spending.

I'll be sticking with my CSR.

I shopped Walmart .com on my computer going through a shopping portal. Check cashbackmonitor .com to see which portal gives you the points/miles/cash you want for shopping at Walmart. Click through the shopping portal of your choice. When I was ready to check out, click "More" where the payment method is to access the Chase Pay option. You can log in to Chase Pay using your chase .com personal login/password. I don't think you need to set it up beforehand on the app. Chase Pay will have all the credit cards connected to your Chase .com personal account, but keep in mind that only Freedom, FU, Sapphire, CSP, and CSR cards qualify for the 10x UR Walmart .com offer so pick one of those cards as your payment method and don't use points to pay. When Chase Pay fills in your payment method, you may see the last four digits of a card that's not yours; I think that's just a Chase Pay feature that masks your actual card number. Place your order and you should be good to go.
