Didn't see a December '17 thread, been watching the November one up to now.
Let's add some findings!

For reference as sometimes these codes carry through:

Our trip is early December. If the prices cooperate, I'll probably pick the car up at Alamo MCO and drop off at the Dolphin as I did last year and let Magical Express take care of getting us back to the airport on time (Last day traffic stress? Leave that to Disney! :) )

Right now, prices through Alamo are outrageous. (Yesterday they were manageable, but they quadrupled in price overnight from Saturday to Sunday searches.)

Notes added:
Update 5/31/17 - Undercover Tourist offers a substantial discount on rentals providing you are also ordering another item (park pass, etc) through them at the time of booking. While I have ordered passes from them before, at this time I don't need any and this does require putting the money down up front for the rental. (Even though they are showing the best prices I've seen so far for Alamo, I'll wait it out :))

It looks like I'm the first one to find this thread :wave2: I've got a trip planned for early December as well. Right now I'm booked in a free dining room at All-Stars Movies December 8-18 but I may change it to a room only at POR for December 1-11. I just think we could actually save money by booking room only and getting the discounted Canadian tickets than a value with the dining plan. Anyways so far I have a reservation with Dollar for 10 days economy for $213. I would prefer to go with Alamo so hopefully their rates will come down eventually. Where are you going to be staying Twinklebug?

Currently have a standard booked through Alamo using Costco contract ID and free one car class upgrade. Dates are from December 7-20 and rate I have right now is $290.80 for a full size upgraded from standard class.

Hmmm I need a one way from fll-mco minivan....hoping to get a decent code right now it's about 362.00 for 9-17....

Thanks for starting this thread. It reminded me to book my car rental. I currently have a standard from Alamo through Costco for $290 Dec 29-Jan 6. Sure hoping the price comes down, but it's a start!

We'll be in the area Dec 5-13th. So looking at a 7 day rental.
My idea of a one way rental is not panning out with Alamo as the prices are still way UP there. In lieu of this I am willing to take ME to/from AKV and rent a vehicle locally for 6 days. Just joined BJs today (for tires) and did a bit more searching using their codes.

Booking Alamo at Disney Car Care Center * (same pickup/return) - thru BJs and using the $30 off code:

Standard $194.43
Full $194.43
Std SUV $248.49
Mid SUV $189.12 <-- Reserved this one for now, until something better comes along.
(I'd prefer MCO-Dolphin in an Impala or similar with good trunk space and legroom for tall family members.)

* the above prices also pertain to pickup/dropoff at the Dolphin.

I booked using the Alamo insider logon, got a Standard for $179 for 12/2-12/8. What I don't understand is it looks like a midsize car but is cheaper than Economy($205). I booked it for now and will watch out for codes or coupons. I tried the AP code, it was $189.

I'm not going in December anymore, we switched to November. But I'm going to still be popping in to see if anyone has gotten any good discounts! The end of the year still feels so far away but in reality it's only another 4-5 months away.

i'm going to follow along with this thread. we are contemplating a 3 day rental for the first part of our trip starting dec 9.

I'm in. Already booked with Alamo, with my Costco discount, and Alamo would not take any coupons I tried. So, $340 for 10 days, 21 t0 31, and midsize. I will keep trying, as you never know. I will say, around August last year, I got the best rate, as we tend to go the same time every year. Then, by the fall, the rates seem to just keep climbing.

I will say, my October one, again with no coupon, just Costco, is going to around $100 cheaper than my December ressie, for 12 days, at the beginning of October, also with a midsize.

I have a standard SUV at Alamo. Pick up at the Car Care Centre and drop off at Sanford. $311. Dates December 27-January 6

Just booked my December trip a couple of weeks ago and started looking at rental cars -- WOW, prices are triple what I normally pay for early December! Hoping they will drop, or else I may skip the rental this year.

Has anyone found any good coupon codes lately?
I've not seen any new codes, but a tip I have utilized is that Alamo tends to update their prices and coupons late Friday and Sunday nights. Prices can fluctuate greatly at these times, not always down in price though - I caught sight of a 7 day economy class rental priced out at over $1200 this last weekend. The best deal at that moment was the mustang :D

Booked a standard with Dollar back in June for 7 days (12/2-12/9) for $147 with all taxes. Also booked the same with Alamo using Costco code 7015309 for $148 with all taxes. I will probably use Alamo because my wife can also drive for no charge and Alamo doesn't have a standard aisle at MCO, so you end up with a full size.

Thank you! I hadn't seen that Costco code yet. I'm still sitting at $191 for a 10 day economy rental with Alamo. It would be awesome to get it down even a little bit but rental prices have been so high for this whole year. I think I paid around $190 for our rental in January too :(

I've never seen deals over the holidays, but I'd keep checking. I always book for the holidays as far out as I can. As we get closer, I rarely have seen it lower.

If rates don't go down, I think I'm going to forgo renting a car for the first time ever. I'm used to paying around $150 for 9 days, and I can't find anything for under $300!

I'm sort of new to this. Did you type that code on the Alamo website or the Costco website? We are booked December 15-23 in an Alamo Standard car for $227 just booked directly through the Costco travel website with no extra code. We are pretty happy with this. (?)
