Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

If you choose to go the DVC route, you can rent points. Its easy via a company like Davids. So as long as you book 11 months out, you'll stand a very good chance of getting what you want. The 3 bedroom grand villas at GFV are AMAZING! Plus the staff there is impeccable, they're like real life Mary Poppins. Of course, you won't have CL access so its a give and take.
I guess I need to go to the DVC section to ask some question on points. I have some concerns over renting points because of the popularity of the grand villas and the fact that we will be going for the 50th celebration so I'm sure occupancy will probably be high. Not sure if I want to give up the CL for a DVC either but that's why I'm asking questions now. Thank you for the feedback!

Has anyone else seen a drop in the DSS? Last person I spoke to on the phone had just a "tired/why are you bothering me" tone. And I sent an email last Friday asking if they can assist with 2 Fastpasses should I encounter problems logging in and was told sorry we can't help you, those FP are popular but you can call the internet help desk if need be.

I haven't had any contact with DSS, but thought I'd bump your post so it didn't get lost on the other page :).

A quick follow up to last week's message - I just got off of the phone with DSS - they called me at work to tell me that they were following up on my inquiry, and as a club level guest they could go ahead and pre-book the Food & Wine event I had inquired about. So I'm pretty darn pleased with that situation.
:tinker:

Thanks for the positive update. Glad DSS is being helpful :goodvibes.

OHMYGOSH YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for letting us know, I'm in the same boat (no AP, no DVC) and was gonna have to get up at 3:30am to start calling at 4am (California here!) on Thursday! I got everything I wanted, about 15 min wait on hold. THANK YOU!!

I have to say that is the split stay that we are doing this summer from BWI to Poly. I agree with @GADisneyDad14 and do not make the choice between an EPCOT resort and a MK by the CL experience. In the EPCOT area we pick the BWI over the BC or YC because of the CL experience - the BWI is hands down a much warmer feeling. The BWI CL CMs are the best and we love being there so we would pick the BWI over the BC for the CL. With the MK resorts we pick the Poly because of the feel of the hotel. It is just home to us - love the whole theme. We do love the CR also but the Poly lounge is much nicer to us. To choose between the BWI and the Poly depends which parks you would be going to more. Our kids love EPCOT and MK so that is why we do a split stay - but if I had to pick only 1 it would be the Poly since this trip we will be at MK a lot but we have done just the BWI CL at times and loved it.
We are doing a split stay at Poly and BC. Poly for all the reasons that were mentioned. Plus I loved the feeling of being away. I could spend forever with the view from the lounge or at the pool just mere steps from the lounge.

We're moving over to Epcot at the back end of the trip since the kids are older and can stay up late and enjoy being out and about. It's also the start of F&W so nice to be able to pop over to Epcot for a snack and beverage often. The kids love the pool so we pick it over BWI.

Trying BWI later this year on a girls weekend sans kids. Excited to try it out.

Our kids are older too and love the night life of the Boardwalk. We just love to end our stay with the Poly. The BC has a great lounge with nice food options - we just didn't get that warm feeling with the CMs there.

Enjoy!

I called DSS on Monday and was on hold for about five minutes before a really nice cast member came on the line so maybe you got one who was having a bad day. The Reason I called was to inquire about DSS making my fast pass reservations since I would be out of the country...they can do FP reservations though she did say FP selection generally opens up at 6-7 a.m. est and dss opens at 9 a.m. est (FWIW...my dad died last month and I know people I talked to surely thought I had the "why are you bothering me tone" . It is hard to keep bad days out of the work place but I think I understand a little more now)

Tikiman on Facebook has posted the view/price increases and a standard pool at the Polynesian is now $100 more, sounds like they are upping the $25 per adult over 2 in the room to $35 and contemplating a $20 charge to park at a resort per
Day as well.

I thought that would've been included in the price, apparently not. Honestly to me it feels a bit forced. Like you either get a 2nd room or incur an even higher fee which could turn your savings into zilch? Oh and btw you have no choice but to take the parking fee if you should decide to drive and not need to use our minivan service?

Not crazy about this. Well, might have to skip club level cause of all this.

Hello folks! This is my first post :yay: We treated ourselves to club level for our first stay in Wilderness Lodge, Nov 25 to Dec 1. It's a dream come true to visit WDW over the holidays. This is only our 2nd trip to WDW after a perfectly magical vacation in May 2016. We stayed in AoA then and I feel a little guilty booking WL as our girls (6 & 4) still go all starry eyed talking about their beloved Lion King room! I'm hoping they will enjoy WL just as much ...

I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how soon should I reach out to DSS to give a room preference. Is it too soon to do that now? Is it better to wait? Also, does anyone know if there is a club level room facing the MK that has bunk beds?

Thank you
:darth:

Reach out whenever you want! I reached out well before my 180 mark. Just send an email with your reservation number and your requests or give them a call.

Going to be at BC CL in 38 days, can anyone tell me what the nightly food offerings are?
Hello - not sure if I can capture everything - but I do remember a few stand outs: pulled pork and polenta, filet mignon hor d'oeuvres with I believe a horseradish sauce, shrimp ceviche, chicken skewers, samosas, spanakopita,. lots of different salads -tomato and mozzerella, potato, pasta, etc. One night there were mussels and some other kind of seafood (I remember this one because my husband had a plate full). For kids: chicken fingers, pigs in a blanket, mac and cheese, PB and J shooters. Hope this helps! Enjoy - you're in for a wonderful time! :flower1:

Yes, definitely reach out whenever!

I don't know the answer to your question. I just wanted to let you know that you'll love WL! We just took our son (1.5 years) on his first trip in May. If I could do it all again, I would. It was an amazing experience!! We had a 2 queen room with a view of the castle and it was fantastic. I hope you get your request!!

I told my husband that I was planning our next trip to WDW, and he almost fell out of his chair. "We haven't been on our first trip yet!!!" "I know honey, but we might get a good deal while we are there, so I want to be prepared."
I figured some of you would get a chuckle out of that!

So I showed him the Polynesian, and he wasn't that interested, and my dream rooms over the water in the Bora Bora bungalows are way over our budget.

For those of you have done CL at the Beach Club and the Yacht Club, which one would you recommend? I am thinking that after being in walking distance to the MK, we should try being in walking/boat distance to Epcot and HS. Also, if BWI has a CL, would that be a good choice?

Does he mean $20 if you're not staying there and just coming to eat or something? Or $20 for everyone? That makes zero since. I don't use MDE because I live less than an hour away, why should I pay to park? Well I guess I already know the answer to that but I really don't like it. If you are trying to deture those that park at the poly to avoid paying at the MK, that's one thing but to make a guest pay on top of the super inflated prices, that's ridiculous. And what about the DVC side, will they have to do so as well? Since they aren't subject to the extra adult fee, I'm not sure how all of that would work out.

Sounds like a great trip, the best of both worlds! Hope you have a great time at the Poly & BC, as well as BWI :wizard:.

Welcome to the Dis :welcome:

You will love the WL! It's an amazing resort any time of year, but especially so during the holidays. As gottalovepluto and KrazeeK120 posted, contact DSS anytime. Enjoy the planning, hope you have a great time and enjoy WL CL :goodvibes.

Have fun planning! I can't help with your question as we haven't stayed CL at BC or YC, but hopefully others will post their opinions/experiences :).

Your question has been answered but just wanted to say I did a similar WL CL trip last year on roughly those same dates - arrived the day after Thanksgiving. It was a great trip for us and a fun way to get in the holiday spirit with the decorations at the Lodge (and great holiday card photo ops!), MVMCP, etc. Loved the new lounge and food offerings at CL, probably the best overall food/beverage offerings of any MK resort CL we've stayed in the past year (in my humble opinion).

Hope you have a great trip!
