OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

Loving all the dining recs since we might need to make more ADR's. I just priced out the 4 sit downs we want, and without including any non-alcoholic drinks or desserts, we come in only $12 shy of the what it would cost to upgrade to DDP. So I am thinking we should probably upgrade, right? I liked the freedom of not having an ADR every day, but I wouldn't want to waste 2 sit-down credits. Decisions, decisions.

What about 1900 Park Fare dinner with Cinderella and her step sisters? No park ticket needed since its at the Grand Floridian. Might be booked now, but it will open up before then I'm sure!
Thanks! our TA recommended that we try Raglan Road Irish Pub (since everything else is basically booked) not sure if she had any luck booking it (fingers crossed) but I'm sure we can check later today and see :)
(we put 1900 park fare on the list of restaurants to try if we cannot get the Irish pub at Disney springs)

Just joining in.... late to the party. I am November 12-18th and currently booked at POR (but considering an upgrade to BC). Seasoned DW veteran looking to do "new" things. I REALLY want to do Pirates and Pals and Early Morning Magic this trip - hoping they open up soon. Problem is that I am not sure they will both realistically work - late night followed next day by very early morning - for my kids (ages 8 and 5 at the time of trip). But it is the only days that would potentially work.

It's our plan to do both of these! We went last December and didn't do EMM or Pirates & Pals or MVMCP because of the kids ages (they will be 4 and 6 when we go again) and already having a jam packed schedule. We booked this trip 11/25-29 with days in between so that we could do Pirates & Pals arrival day, MVMCP the next day, rest day, then EMM+MK and then home the next day. So, we're doing 4 nights with just one full MK day and one MVMCP day so we could fit in these "extras" and allow our kids some recouperation time! Maybe just pick one of the two? Prioritize. If they LOVE seven dwarfs mine train, do EMM, and if they love pirates do the Pirates and Pals?

Can anyone tell me what to expect for the Fantasyland ride times if we go on a day that has EMM? My plan this whole time has been to go straight to 7DMT but I've heard that when the ropes drop you can expect 30 minute waits already by that time on those days

This is our 2nd trip and planned a lot more character meals this time. My daughter will be 4 and my son turns 7 at Disney. Going Nov. 16-22.
Plans:
Day 1- Check-in, Spirit of Aloha dinner show
Day 2- MK day- dinner at Crystal Palace
Day 3- Epcot day- breakfast at Garden Grill, dinner at Coral Reef
Day 4- MK day, sons's b-day, breakfast at Chef Mickeys, Lunch at Diamond Horseshoe, Pirates League, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, dinner at CRT
Day 5- Day off, breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, lunch at Beaches and Cream, dinner at T-Rex
Day 6- HS day, breakfast at Hollywood and vine/Fantasmic Package, dinner at Mama Melrose
Day 7- Check-out
This is only our second trip and we have only been to CM, CRT, and T-Rex of these before. The kids picked a lot of them. Any suggestions or advce would be wonderful!

I think you have a lot of great plans, but there are a few days where it seems like way too much food & time spent eating. Specifically days 4 and 5, and maybe even day 6. Will you really be hungry for all those meals and will your kids want to spend all that park time in restaurants? Day 5 also seems like a lot of time spent traveling around to multiple locations.

Hello! DH and I will be there Oct 31st -Nov 10th!! We will start the journey from VA on the 30th after work, probably stop in Jacksonville, then arrive on Halloween morning. We will start at the Swan, then move to the Yacht Club Nov 7th. We'll be doing Food and Wine Festival, MNSSHP (11/1), MVMCP (11/9), and the Wine and Dine 10K/Half Marathon Challenge :tigger:

I would upgrade. It seems like you would be getting 2 extra TS credits for $12 and I don't know if you could get 2 QS meals for that price. We get tired of being tied down to ADR's everyday too, so last year we decided to try 1 2 credit TS meal on our trip and we had one day without any ADR's. We loved it so we are doing that again this year!:)

So - Dining reservations are booked, we got the extra FD day we wanted, we cancelled the room only booking...what next?
Too early to book FP (but we already know what we are aiming for)
I am honestly going through withdrawal and it means I need to re-shift my focus to work and the summer LOL
(172 days until we leave - I need something "Disney" to keep me occupied during the slow work days)

Raglan Road
we love Raglan Road! Really good food.

Touring Plans-start playing with days :D

I haven't done much for November trip as still waiting on airfare calendar for frontier. Although with SW current 60,000 mile offer on their CC I may just bite the bullet and do that. With work travel easily meet requirements in month, and then November flights would be "free".

We already have our days all planned out - went off of recommended days (that I saw in blogs) and chatted with my TA to see what they recommended, etc... I haven't looked at any touring plans or crowd calendars (the exchange is pretty yuck right now - so I need to add a good .26 to every dollar I spend - which doesn't sound like much but it adds up LOL)
We got our flights booked - coming from Ottawa to Orlando and flying out on a weekend made it hard to find a good price (plus we had to coordinate with air miles).
Hopefully yours work out well and you get the "free" flight.

Love Raglan Road! Plus, they serve Magners, which makes me fell at home! I really enjoy the food and entertainment too!

:welcome: Pirates and Pals is hands down one of our favorite things we've done at Disney! We wouldn't hesitate to do it again!

:welcome: Also running the W&D Challenge. This will my second year running it and I ran the half of a half in 2015. We are staying at Boardwalk and also planning on attending MNSSHP on the 1st.

This is a good point. Upgrade for $12 and use the two credits to do a signature or dinner show so you're not as tied down to reservations and really get some bang for your buck with the upgrade!

Thanks! We did the half in 2014 and it was great. We stayed at the Boardwalk for that race and it was the best location for the race/running to food and wine booths. See you there :cool1:

Tiffins is amazing! We ate there with a ROL package in April and were a little nervous about it, and it was so good we decided to eat there again in November! Seriously delish and the service was fabulous! We also ate at Homecoming in April and it was good, but so much food! The service there was a little slow, but the manager did check on us and we took some leftovers that I don't think we ever ate! LOL!

I would love to do the Italian regional lunch or French Family lunch, but they just don't fit in with our plans I don't think based on when they were last year. Last year we did the Parisian breakfast and it was good, but I think I'm the only person who really got my money's worth! LOL! We went straight from the 10K to it. They were very prompt on filling your mimosas! ;)

Wow - so just heard about the candle light Processional!! All these things Disney is doing over the holidays (LOL)
So, in the past - which restaurants at Epcot had the option to add this to the ADR for "reserved seating"?
(All this is new to me)
We are there the end of November and want to make the most of this "holiday" trip

If you go on disney's website & search the candlelight dinner package it lists them.
It looks like most Epcot restaurants excluding the signature ones. Also Trattoria on Boardwalk.

I must have missed it - I did a search earlier. Thanks I will search again
