Beach Club. I stayed at POR years ago and it was the worst resort I've ever stayed at.

We stayed at POR our second trip. If we went NOW that my kids are teens, probably wouldn't be a problem. But I went into it blind with two small kids and there were a couple of nights I wasn't sure how I'd get them from the drop off at the resort to the building/room after a long day. When they say "sprawling" resort, yeah, they mean it. Never tried the eats there and that was 2007 so...

And although I am sure everyone has back ups to back ups - Keep in mind that POP is going to have limited inventory until possibly next June - so with the rumor of only QSDP at Mods and their limited availability I have a feeling POP won't be as easy to bank on as in the past. Not being negative just pointing out an additional snag here

Well, with four Disney adults in our family, a moderate makes zero sense for us at this point. The difference between a standard room at CSR with a dining upgrade and a standard room at WL with regular dining is only $300. Right now, WL does have availability for our dates and it's even showing rooms available in the summer RO offer, so I'm assuming they have plenty of space!

Still debating the whole BC with no dining versus WL with dining, but at least it's definitely narrowed down to those two! Final decision I guess will come when I see if I can actually get the FD at WL or not.

I just redeemed my rewards points to a redemption card for when it drops Monday I can use that to pay deposit. Then went right back to reading this thread. Opened email about 15mins later and saw a new email from Chase Disney Rewards. My heart stopped for a second thinking it was an early email notification for FD. Nope, just confirming my points redemption :crazy2::lmao:

With Mods now getting QS I wish we could stay at a Value resort! I have 4 kids (youngest under 2) so we would have had to get 2 rooms, so there is no value in that.

I am really hoping to get POR with free dining, but I saw some people above saying they didn't like it at all. Those of you who love it, tell me why! I want to be excited about staying at this resort since we are paying more for it than we originally thought (if we upgrade to DDP).

Yeah, that's part of the reason I went ahead and switched us from CSR to Pop. I thought about upgrading to AKL but we really want to do MNSSHP the week we're going and Club Villain if it returns and we can get tickets.

Good Morning All, I am hoping someone can help. If I get an All Star Music Suite for 4 adults and 1 child but only 2 of the party is arriving on check in day and the remaining on day 2. Does Disney allow this? I am trying to save money for a group of 5 comparing Free dining and a potential Room only discount. We both already have individual reservations at CBR for our respective checkin dates but am building a comparison to see if sharing and free dining might save us some money. Thanks all.

In order to do what you want to do, everyone will have to be on the reservation for the entire stay. If you're flying and using MDE, this will be a problem. If you're driving, it doesn't matter.

Here's a question: I currently have a room at CBR with the $75 GC. If we have to modify for free dining, will we lose the gift card offer? What do you all think? I am really bummed about the QSDP instead of DDP, but can rationalize the $616 to upgrade 4 adults and 1 child if I'm getting $525 in gift cards back.

Especially when eating two character meals (1 Mickey for DS (infant), 1 princess for DD) would cost $386 and I could get 7 full TS meals for all of us for just 230 more.

This has been discussed extensively here. Although no one knows 100% for sure, the general consensus is you will NOT lose the GCs since they are not technically a promotion, but an incentive to stay during the construction.

You should be okay, but there is some question about it IF you have to change your dates. Changing your dates is different than just modifying room category or adding dining. So if you'll need to change dates in order to get free dining, I'd definitely be calling in to make that change and guaranteeing those GCs stay with your reservation.

OK - This has probably been answered but there are so many pages on this thread to see if this has been asked - if I have the CBR book and am receiving the gift card, it free dining is available for my dates, can I change it on-line and keep the gift card, instead of calling? Does anyone know?? Thanks.

Yes, you can add a promotion with the GC, as long as you have the 'modify' button available.

Aside from the walk with little kids who are sleepy, I thought it was a great place to stay. You really did feel like you were walking through the old Antebellum South. The rooms were nice and big, mousekeeping did an amazing job. My kids loved walking by the water wheel every day on the way to the parks and it was even more beautiful at night. It has a nice ambience. We never ate there so I can't comment on that part but from just my experience, you might find you like it very much.

No. No one knows. Most people (myself included) don't think it's worth the risk to try and modify the booking online. A CM dis recommend this to me to be safe as even they aren't sure how fd will fit in with the GCs.

We've stayed there and eaten at the QS food court and it was awesome. Probably one of the better hotel QS restaurants. Lots and lots of food options!

I can't say enough about this breakfast. Only one we do.
Any thoughts on late breakfast vs pre park opening ? I'm leaning more towards 11am and just getting a quick grab and go on the way out of the resort to get the family in the park.

OK - so right now i have availability to book a separate RO for my resort - do I need to do this? Or would I be able to change my current reservation that includes tickets and dinning for a RO if we don't opt for FD?
