WOW!! This board moves so fast!! :scared: So where are we with the actual dates? Last I read, there were a few threads about April 24 being for Disney Visa and May 1 for public, and that December dates started on the 8th and not the 3rd:coffee:

How does everyone figure the OOP expenses? On the WDW app it says $34.99-$59.99 do you go with the highest price? And how do you know children's prices per buffet. Other ones I can see their prices for. Also, I know it's meal, soft drink and desserts for dinner with FD but do meals come with a salad? Let's say at Tony's. I'm trying to figure OOP vs Upgrading AND I feel clueless

I can't comment on Canadian offers, but for we in the states, if booking through Disney, it's 1 special offer per reservation. I know some TA's offer discounted rooms and tix, but that's another story.

I will say I was surprised too the first time I booked one Ron! I booked a friend on the Disney website with the Room Only discount and when it got to the tickets page the CDN offer was displayed to select. Nice treat!

I think we're still on 4/24 for everyone

I believe prices fluctuate based on season - value season sees lower end of the prices, and peak season the higher ones.

And in my experience most meals do not include a salad unless it's included with the entree (like a buffet/family styled/etc). That would most likely be considered an appetizer and would only be included with the DxDP.

I think. Lol

I think if u have kids under 10 .. dinning plan is the better value.. character meals for kid's cost around 30... where as DDP is around.. 28 or soo

Touring Plans has a page for each restaurant with pricing listed for most.

When we met Kylo Ren he looked at my 2yo and said "I sense this one is trouble". It's been 5 months and he still tells everyone about it. He also gave chewie a big hug but refused to go near Santa or Talking Mickey. He's a strange kid haha

Better then what he did to my 8 y/o DD - told her he sensed the light in her and would bring her to the dark side. He kept following her around and she ended up in tears!

On that note - our favorite was a surprise visit. Our trip in 2011 kids were 3 and 1. We were off to the side taking a break in MK when a CM started blowing bubbles for the kids to chase and just have breaks from the strollers. A photopass photographer stopped to takes pics as he said he loved how much fun they were having. A few minutes later Peter Pan showed up out of nowhere! He ran around and chased bubbles with the kids then took pics with us. CM's near blocked off the area so it was just us with them. My favorite character interaction and Disney magic moment :)

That really is an awesome deal. I may have to think about moving to Canada.:rotfl2:

So, new game-what is the best Character Meet you have had?

It was actually at the Contemporary many years ago during a character breakfast. My DD who was 6 at the time dropped her plate at the buffet station. She was so embarrassed she started to cry, I felt so bad for her. A wonderful CM saw this and grabbed Donald by the hand and dragged him over and scolded him in front of her playing a prank and greasing the dishes so that the guests would drop them! The Donald character was so good, he/she hung his head, wrung his hands and "looked" like he was sorry and gave her a big hug. She ended up walking away laughing through her tears. I'll never forget that!

I booked the FD bb last August before the Canadian discounted tickets were announced. I also haven't heard anything about Canadians booking the FD bb in Sept/Oct. and getting the discount. You're right. You'd think we'd hear it from someone if it were possible.

Hmmm...I have the FD BB booked from last year and am Canadian. I hadn't thought of calling Disney to see if they would let me change the tickets to the discounted Canadian tickets. Probably worth a call. All they can say is no....which is what I expect the answer will be.

Can't call from work but will try this from home tonight and report back.

Which value resort s are to be excluded? Why is Pop so popular? Thinking of booking two roons for two adults, twins Age 8 , and my 11 year old.Do I just book two rooms and pay deposit twice? Worried if FD drops I wont be able to book both rooms under it.How do I make sure I get both under FD and are adjoining? Was thinking of booking two rooms at Pop should I do AOA , its more though but holds six in one suite.

My son is 8 and can probably care less about character meals, our 2 girls 1 & 2yrs old those maybe exciting for them. Besides the places we picked because we like them, I wanted something quick traveling with small kids.

The OP is referring to the FD offer, you can't combine the FD offer with the room discount.

If you read my response you will see that I did not refer to combining Free Dining and Room Only discounts. The original message said that Disney does not currently allow combining offers and I pointed out that currently Canadians can get a Room Only Discount plus the Canadian ticket discount on the same reservation.

This is why the DP is so important to us. This time around my kiddos are 6, 5 and 2.5. EVERY TS meal is a character meal. We definitely get our money's worth.
