***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I guess the road blocks aren't quite over yet for us. DH just left the doctor because his knee swelled up overnight. They are sending him to an orthopedic, but he probably can't get an appt there until at least Thursday. Really hoping that it's nothing major, but have no idea what the cause could be. And there goes that overtime pay I was hoping for, and his missing time this week will be unpaid.

On the plus side, today is our 30 day mark until we leave.

Oh, @JamieOak I'm so sorry to hear this news about your DH. I hope he feels better soon and that they are able to figure out what is wrong with him soon.

Gahhhhhhhhhh I'm so excited. I've been trying to add a day at the beginning of our trip for a while now, but there was no more availability for our room type at our resort, but today it was there! Just got off the phone getting it added! (I couldn't modify myself because I'd already done online check-in) We are now checking in on Dec 3rd and out on Dec 11th. I just texted roomie and said, "We are staying at Disney for 8 nights. EIGHT NIGHTS! That's so many nights!"

Hooray @Mal6586! I'm so glad this opened up for you and you get an extra night at Disney!!!! Woohoo!!!!

I think we want to watch it up close so she can see and hear Anna, Elsa, Kristoff. It's more about the little Frozen show for us. I understand it's 7 minutes long. if it starts at 6:30, it should be over by 6:40 at the latest. How long does it take to walk from the castle to the entrance, and then over to Chef Mickey? I suppose we could see it too on Monday evening before our Be Our Guest dinner (it's at 7:10) but I was thinking Monday would be more crowded than Sunday...

I think you would be ok honestly, at least within 5-10 minutes. I think you should def see it before BoG dinner though! but I'd aim to see it twice, not instead of, if you are Frozen fans.

That's awesome! So psyched for you!!! I totally feel you on the importance of starting a trip with MK. It's gonna feel weird to me on my trip having my first park day be Epcot, lol.
Epcot is my second choice so that would be ok to me. But I am doing Epcot, DS at night, DS the next day and finally may make it to Epcot at night... those are all of my least favorite things. A disney trip should not be like eating your veggies first! lol

@JamieOak so sorry to hear about your DH! If he has to limit the amount of time spent on his feet, I'd consider renting a scooter. You may even want to look for one now. Just a thought! :)

I know there are some good ones out there. I believe Kingdom Strollers rents scooters out.

So it's my turn to do the trip-is-paid happy dance! My resort was paid months ago since I rented points directly from a DVC member, but I only just bought my airfare and park ticket with my credit card last week. Just paid my credit card balance for the month, so balance back down to zero, and that means my trip is officially paid for!!! Woohoo!!!

Now I just need to be really good for the month of November, since October was a biiiggg expense month for me (In addition to the trip expenses I had over $500 in vet bills! :faint: ). I think the only purchases I'll be making this month will be my shoulder sling bag, which is cheap, and an Etsy order that I am desperately trying to keep under control (I think I have 19 items currently saved in my cart :headache: ).

AWESOME!

Oh no! Take care of him so he can feel better soon!

can I just say BOOYAH!!! ?
I transferred my MVMCP ticket back to the primary holders and because we are staying on site it opened up another FP+ day for me.

Guess what I scored? NOT BAD AT 38 DAYS!!!!!!!!

omg I am going to bounce right out of my seat! Like seriously what a perfect FIRST DAY AT DISNEY! Honestly I was sad that because of my split stay that MK was all at the end. It felt wrong. Now I have an afternoon in the MK right when we get there.

SO EXCITED!!!!:tigger: feeling very very good about my decision now. and screw the merry mixer lol. mama needs to ride some coasters! (actually if we do PP right at 2:55 and leave we can probably make it to the merry mixer by 4:30. maybe I could even walk to contemporary and uber to boardwalk and come in the back way and be closeby then monorail back to the car)

AWESOME FP's! I've got my calendar blocked to book mine on my extra MVMCP tix next week.
And great decision too ;-)

my flight changed by 5 minutes and I have the option to "reject" it. I'm considering switching to a flight one hour earlier!

Makes me think I should go check for FEA fastpasses! :D
Good luck!
Thanks for the link...looks great! We are spending our last morning at DS before our ME to the airport around 2:00, and I was looking for things to do besides shop and eat!....not that there's anything wrong with that! But we might be out of money and in a carb coma from the week!

AWESOME!

someone MUST have dropped 7DMT recently and I snagged it. there is no way that one has been sitting there for 22 days.

Actually it was funny, I tried to book FP+ for me and it made me remove myself from the party because I had my xmas party tickets assigned to phantoms. So I booked it for the kid for kicks wondering if i could maybe add myself to it later.

Then I switched my MVMCP tickets back to primary profiles. I tried to book FP+ for both of us but it still wouldn't let me.

About 5 minutes later it did let me but it would not let me add myself to the 7DMT that the kid was holding. So I dropped it and picked up peter pan at 1:55 for both of us instead. Then I tried to move that time a bit earlier and when I did that, 7DMT at 1:55 popped up as an option for both of us! So i grabbed it and got a much later peter pan. I was able to modify my times after letting it sit for about 10 more minutes and get them back to back to back - those times were not originally offered!

so who here is still warrioring on the ADRs? You know what would make my arrival day complete is a 12:30-1pm ADR at BoG for lunch. I am going to set it up in TP's ADR finder but I know some people are experiencing withdrawals.

I haven't checked for FEA but I have been able to score later than 60 day 7DMT FP+ twice now - once for my final day at 50-something days in and now for my bonus MK day. it's worth a try I say, just keep checking. I don't think people pick them up super quickly either.

I'm going to drop a bunch soon. I know I've said that a few times but part of me just can't "let it go"

Lisa..your post encouraged me to check my MK fp times...and I got a much better time for Peter Pan....Thanks!!!
YAY! I don't think you were posting here when we first made our FP+ 60 days out but one thing we all noticed is that when you "modify" a FP+ you are offered many more and often much better times then when you first book it. So it is always worth it to check and see if you can modify!
