Disney Gift Card Deals

Just want to clarify- You can still get 5% off Disney gift cards from Target but only when you purchase in person, not online anymore. (Don't want to make the trip if not) Thank you!
This is WRONG. If you have a REDCard (their credit card), you can get 5% off online.

The confusion comes when you try to buy any gift cards with Target gift cards. If your online account is tied to your Red Card, you can purchase a gift card with Target gift cards AND get 5% off. This is why people are trying to get Target cards either from ebay or on discounted card sites or at their grocery store. If you go into the store, you can either pay by gift cards for the full amount of the card you are buying OR pay by RED card and get 5% off.

UPDATED: Sold out!

If anyone has some ebay funds and is interested, you can buy a $100 Lowes e-gift card for $85 as one of the Daily Deals on ebay. The seller is PPDG, so be wary! Limit of 2 per account. Email delivery. Warning...they will sell out fast!

I just purchased 2 but paid with Paypal Credit because of all the stories about PPDG I've read on here and not wanting to take the time to go convert my Target to ebay in store. I'm always looking to save on Lowes or Home Depot gift cards because we have hundreds of house projects going on at all times.

For those of us churning for Lowe's and those brave enough to tangle with PPDG:

Thanks need to get some supplies there so $15 off is great
I was able to buy another PPDG so it seems like as long as I buy a small amount $100 or less my account is ok

I was able to buy two. I paid $45 of the $170 OOP. For me, the 'trick' with PPDG seems to be smaller amount and some OOP. I want to buy two more on my dh's ebay account but not sure I want to press my luck b/c we have the same PP.

I've avoided PPDG until now but want to buy some Beats wireless earbuds from Best Buy. What are my chances of getting $150 through without an issue?

Thanks I did see the shop and save ad. However I'm not 100% sure how pump perks works as I have never actually used it. Can you redeem up to the cost of gas or only a certain amount? Also how quickly do they expire? With GE you can redeem up to the cost of gas so I usually fill up when I am empty. There are a lot more Get Gos around where I live/shop than Sunoco so it is easier to do for me. If I could only redeem a portion of my pump perks it would be harder for me to fully utilize it if I bought a lot of gift cards.
@Friendlyadvice2 turned me onto the whole visa double dip idea. You lose a portion of your credit card cash back since it is a $6.95 activation fee per $200 but you get an additional $0.80 off per gallon of gas per $200 if you buy the Visa card and then use it to buy the other gift card when there are double fuel perks on both cards. I get 17-18 gallons when on empty so I save $13.6-14.4 on gas but lose $6.95 per $200 card (% lost in visa fee is lowest by buying the $200 cards). If you get the full 30 gallons you'd save even more.

You can redeem all your perks at once, up to 30 gallons (I have a 20 some gallon tank and take a gas can to maximize). It works the same as it does through GetGo. I don't know how long you have before they expire though, as I use them often. I'd say it's at least 2 months though, but I'm honestly not sure. It's funny, I have a Sunoco right by my house and a Giant Eagle right by my house. The GetGo and Shop and Save are about 10 miles away by each other. So, either way, I'd either have to drive a little further for the gift card or the gas.

As for the double dipping, do they charge the activation fee when you buy it, or does it come off the card? I usually buy $500 disney cards. Can you preload any amount, or do they have set amounts? So, if I'd buy a $500 visa card, would it charge 506.95 or 500 (and take the value of the gift card to 493.05)? Honestly, losing that little bit really doesn't matter because you're just going to turn around and use that card to purchase more cards.

Since you share a PayPal account I would be hesitant too. PP is such a PIA to deal with if the computer detects possible fraud. I was afraid I was going to be stuck with a bunch of eBay gift cards when PayPal wouldn't let me buy anything for a couple days.

The activation fee is charged when you buy it. So a $200 visa GC costs $206.95. The are preset amounts. The highest denomination I have seen at GE is $200 visa GC. The $100 ones are $5.95 to activate so you can see why it is best to buy the $200 denomination ones. The $5.95 for just a $100 eats up too much of your fuel savings in my opinion. Again using my gas fill up of 17-18 gallons I would get an additional $6.8-7.2 off in gas with a $100 Visa card purchase but the activation fee is $5.95. Obviously with a bigger tank the savings would be better but not enough im my opinion. I'd stock with the $200 ones if you decide to go this route.

How long does it usually take to receive Disney cards from Target.com? Debating whether to order online to use up gift cards and save the 5%, or just do it in store to not have to have for the ship time.

Thanks!

My order took 4 days. Ordered the 24th and it arrived the 28th.

My gift cards have been taking about 1 week to arrive. I live in Pennsylvania. Usually the misc. item that I add to the order to get ebates arrives sooner.

Exactly. Well, mostly... since they were the ones that 90% of the time received the funds in the end. Since PPDG is unreliable to get BB cards, and Target is now dead, it could be what other retailer is getting the final payout. I decided to payout on physical Hotels.com cards this weekend from a portion of my funds through GCM as I'm heading to California, so they would be the winner in my poor hot potato example, haha.
I was thinking about getting sone hotels.com cards also.... my issue is timing... when I needed a hotel booking last week, I didn't have the gc's so had to use a cc to pay- but now that I see the gc's for sale, the room I booked last week is 10 per night higher than my cc rate... and I'm loathe to have a bunch of hotels.com cards hanging around doing nothing....

I just checked a few of my past orders that I still had tracking numbers for and it looks like Disney gift cards are originating out of Woodbury, MN for me. So the closer you live to there, the sooner you'd get them I believe. I'm not sure if that is the only hub mailing these out or if there is another in the US.

I needed my gift cards last minute too, so I decided to go through PPDG with $200. I got it to go through without it locking my account no problem. The hardest thing with the Hotels.com gift cards is claiming them on the website. It'll only let you put one gift card in to pay, so I had to transfer the funds on the two $100 cards to a single card on the website.

Next time I'll be purchasing physical gift cards.

Has anyone found a seller of BB cards on ebay other than PPDG? I just received my order from BB containing the ink and a $50 ebay card. I'd like to try the online order again to see if it works by adding something smaller than ink (even though my ink was less than the ebay card anyway), but I need to get a BB card first. I haven't had any issues with PPDG yet, but I am very hesitant due to reading all of the horror stories here. I've looked around myself, but haven't had luck.
