2016 Free Dining Watch ~ Part 2

So question ASSp just opened up for my dates. With DDP it would be 2,079 for 7 nights with park hoppers. Right now we are booked at POFQ with a magical deal for $2553. Would it be worth the switch? Is it an okay resort? Would staying at POFQ be way better?

Let me chime in and give some of you a heads up....

TA's can place holds on reservations for 72 hours. This gives them time to discuss any changes with their client as well collect payment information for their deposit which is due 72 hours after the hold is in place.

If I were trying to hunt down a room, which is not available now, 12:01AM Eastern time on Friday, April 29th may be an excellent time to find one online! All deposits would have to be in by the close of business on April 28th for reservations made yesterday!!

Now this is very interesting. I could not find the "Visa" offer when I went to the specials website even though I'm a Disney Visa holder, maybe it's because I don't have the card in my profile. In any event, I used the link above and looked for the week of Labor Day and found for 9/4-9/9 at Water view at CBR under the Visa free dining, BUT when I changed it to the regular free dining promo then it went away but when I switched back to the VISA it was there again. SO, this tells me that there is different inventory available for Visa than for non Visa which is VERY interesting.

Woo hoo I did it!!!! My obsessive checking just scored me a standard room at CBR 8/27-9/1!!! I'm a little sad to give up my 3rd choice WL but Ill be saving $591 by switching standard WL to standard CBR and that's a lot of Margaritas!!! Keep checking!!!!!!

are you checking under visa free dining online or just free dining online? I haven't seen anything pop up

Do you think there may be a possibility that Disney may release more rooms for free dining? Hoping this will happen since we need several rooms and not everyone could get FD for our dates 9/24-10/1. In fact, we had to come in one day earlier to get FD but could only get 4 rooms and we still need 3 or 4 more rooms. I think I remember this happening last year or maybe it was the year before, but it seemed like it was several days or a couple of weeks later that they released more rooms.

I just went and checked our reservation, it's a little strange...it shows 2 adults, but dining for 1 adult and 1 child, is that how you guys interpret this....we are 2 adults(at least in years, mentally that's anyone's guess.) Should I call about this?

Dining Plan: 2016 Quick Service Meals, 2016 Table Service Meals - Child, 2016 Table Service Meals - Adult

I'm pretty sure that it's just telling you what options are available within the DP that you've picked. I'm looking at all 3 of our reservations now and all three say the same, even though two are 3 adults and one is 2 adults, 1 child.

If I remember correctly you had POP but wanted to upgrade to CBR for $500 more? I would stick with POP and use the extra for your dining tips.

You will love CSR! ...I would request Cabannas 8A or B to be closest to the pool and a bus stop, and a short walk to the main building, El Centro. You do not want Ranchos, as they are the furthest section.

Agreed on all points -- we like Coronado just fine. The pool is nice and we like the Spain/Mexico theming. We usually use our request to get close as possible to the buses, and we never regret it; you may be fine walking across the resort to catch your transpo in the morning, but at night, after a full day at the park, with your feet screaming, you'll appreciate that short walk. Enjoy!
