AFAICT, the only advantage would be staying under the radar on Target .com and possibly getting an activated card faster.

You would not get the 5% REDCard discount if you pay with GCs in the store. You only get the discount on any portion of the purchase which is actually paid for with the REDCard.

No need to inform the cashier of anything.

You would lose 7% each churn (5% REDCard + 2% eBates). When you're working with several hundred dollars, that's a pretty big hunk of money left on the table. I ordered 3-$200 eBay GCs on Target .com and paid $570. I also got $11+ back from ebates. That's $41 that I would have forfeited if I had gone to my local Target store to buy my eBay GCs. And that's only one churn. Multiply that by the number of churns that you might do in a single quarter (I think that someone threw the number 9 out there a few pages back), and you can see that a lot of savings would be lost.

Does anyone know if you can get the 5% but change the payment to a different credit card?
I'm looking to use my Disney card to get some dream dollars if i can't i'll just snag a target gift card for the value.

I should've have started churning a higher amount while i had the chance!

My DD has several times but she's not buying $100's of dollars in GC's, she just shows the cashier her Redcard but uses her daddy's CC.

I needed a multi outlet plug for my perk farm, so I put that in with some eBay gift cards and set it for in store pick up when checking out at Target. I got my eBates credit almost instantly. So outlet plugs work.

Awesome, thank you. Since MyPoints seems to be on the outs with Target purchases I am probably going to go back to eBates. I have been placing orders online and picking up in store lately anyway. I stopped using eBates before because I hated getting deliveries for qualifying purchases. I need to review what eBates considers qualifying purchases so I don't learn the hard way.

Yes, sb's gives credit when buying Target gift cards through eBay.

I just checked and the last order I placed was on 3/15 and MyPoints did credit. Sounds like maybe that was the last day though. Not sure what I am going to do. I guess I can go back to eBates and just pick up the crediting item in store. Although I'm going to have to search back to see what not to buy. Thanks for the heads up on this, sorry you got caught on the short end of the deal.

I have a suggestion for anyone at a loss of what to buy for Target/Ebates filler item. I've purchased several Disney onsies(bodysuits). I think of them as 50 cents off per $100 gc purchase. I'm using Mypoints vs Ebates to get to that figure. Many of you don't need them but I'm stocking up for a baby shower. I just purchased the newborn Minnie Mouse bodysuit for $3.60 minus $3($600 ebay gcs w/Ebates).Under $1! I also have Toy Story and Teenage Mutant Ninjas. You can donate them, have another baby, hope to be a Gramma (me). Just search Disney Bodysuit.

I was the OP on this. Recap: I purchased $1000+ in electronic target cards from cardpool. When I went to used them 5 days later they were all empty. I reached out to cardpool's customer service through email because there is no telephone number to call. The auto response to an email says that they will get back to you within the next business day. I sent them my first email on 2/29 and heard back later in the day, they wanted more information. I replied that same day and have not heard anything since. I tried sending a new email another two times with no response. They last email was sent on March 2. I have heard nothing back. I started doing some research and found that a ton of people have had to file complaints with the BBB so that is what I did as well. I wish it wouldn't have come to that, but I have had no communication from cardpool. The complaint was sent to cardpool on March 7. BBB said they have 10 business days to respond. I will update when I hear something.

I mentioned in my complaint that in Cardpool's Terms of Use it states When you sell of a Gift Card to Cardpool via the Service, ownership of the Gift Card and any interest therein to Cardpool is immediately and automatically to Cardpool. You agree that you will not redeem any portion of the Gift Card at any point subsequent to the sale to Cardpool. You further agree that you will be charged a replacement fee if the Gift Card proves to be invalid, as determined in Cardpool’s reasonable discretion. The replacement fee will be equal to the balance that you reported at the time of the sale plus an additional $10 service fee. Cardpool is not responsible for any errors that you have made in entering gift card information.

After this ordeal, I don't think I will be using cardpool anymore. I would rather save less and use Raise. I have read that raise has better customer service and they have a 888 number right on their website! At this point Cardpool has no customer service.

I made a purchase on Target's website yesterday for a $100 eBay gc, $50 eBay gc, and a filler item. The $50 eBay gc and the filler item were shipped (or email delivered), but the $100 eBay gc was cancelled. I know some eBay gc orders have been cancelled lately, so that's not my concern, however, the Target gc I used looks like it was still "charged" for the eBay card that was cancelled. Does it typically take a while for the portion of the charge from the cancelled item to be returned to the gift card?

I haven't gotten the email nor the message in my ebay account as early as I see it posted on here in the past two offers. Does anyone remember seeing the x# eBucks offers early in the AM on the east coast? I always figured that since eBay is on the west coast, it's not worth looking for any changes in their offers until 10 AM EDT.

Being totally honest here. I would sooooooo use a flame button if I had the option with some of these 'explain every detail to me because I don't feel like researching ' posts.

Yeah. You've got your leeches and your contributors. You learn who they are. Some people ask a million questions and want others to try everything they think of and tell them if they should do it. Just try things if you're not sure, and report back here if they work or not. Once you get the jist of it, there is no excuse for asking others to try for you and you should start experimenting with how you can improve the process.

I STILL haven't gotten my giftcardmall order from last week! I checked the tracking and it's still in Utah and there was a storm delay note on the details. I'm so impatient

I soooo agree with the urge to flame some people.

There are a couple posters who have earned the distinction of joining my ignore list because I've found their posts (both here and on other threads) to be so annoying. Better to ignore them and not see their posts than to see their posts and fight the urge to react.
