Disney Gift Card Deals

No, I've had them for some time. I called the ebay number but of course theres a long wait :sad2:. My last eBay cards so I just wanna get rid of them!
Ugh, I'm so sorry, that is no fun at all! I feel your pain about wanting to get rid of them. I just got off the phone with eBay about getting a refund for my Target cards from GiftCardMall that I never received. I think they are finally going to fix it, but now I have $500 in eBay GCs that I, too, need to get rid of! I guess I have no other choice but to give it another try. I'd rather have $500 in Target GCs than eBay ones!
Good luck...I hope they can help you.

Finally ordered my final Target gift cards from ebay using up the ebay bucks I earned last quarter. So now I'm waiting for 2 Target gift cards from various people and 2 orders from GCM. Can't wait to get all the Target gift cards and get them traded into Disney gift cards and be done for a while. I love the savings, but the stress of making sure you get the cards and they are good and converting makes it definitely necessary to take a break!

Looks like the Ebay glitch on the Best Buy website is wide spread. If you ordered Ebay cards through best buy you might want to check to see if they activated.... *sigh*
A friend just told me one of the 8 $25 Ebay gift cards she bought from Best Buy online was never activated.

So I went in last night to bet buy and the woman working customer service was amazing. She was getting the run around from their HQ so I asked her since the problem was that the unique bar code per card was never scanned (which is what activates them) could she simply resell them to me because her stores system would still think they were in inventory. Worked like a champ. She just zeroed out the price and rang it up with a note. All are active now.

Can someone explain the Best Buy cards to me? I've tried going back several pages to find the source of it. Is it better/easier than the than buying 5-9% discount target cards and using them to stack with the 5% Red card savings to buy Disney gift cards from Target?

Thank you for the update! I will tell her to go to the store.

Ugh I hope everyone gets this straightened out. I'd cycled my BB giftcards through x2 to make a 20% profit. Both times I only had the option of in store pickup. It took a little time for the staff to scan them all in. My second pick up the girl mentioned when she scanned them they didn't activate so she was going though manually make sure I was all set. She apologized for the delay but I told her I was thankful she was taking the time to get it all right. For the effort the savings was worth it, but not if any of the gcs weren't activated. I wonder if it was an issue at all stores and some clerks weren't as careful.

Mine was a clerk error for sure. Instead of scanning the second bar code he escaped out of it. It was easy enough though to have someone last night simply resell them to me again for no cost and that activated them.

Can someone point to a post that explains how to use Best Buy to get Disney card deals?
I think normally, Best Buy would not be a good choice, except last week eBay had Best Buy gift cards for $100 and you got an extra $10 eBay gift card. That, coupled with 5x eBay bucks and it was a great deal. Not such a great deal anymore though.

This particular deal is dead. However, you can occasionally find deals associated with Best Buy. In another recent deal, Amex had an offer for a $25 statement credit when you spent $250 at Best Buy. Best Buy sells both eBay and Disney gift cards, but not Target gift cards.

So for example, if you have an Amex and had that offer, you could have bought $250 worth of Disney gift cards at effectively a 10% discount; or you could have bought eBay gift cards and used them when a deal on Best Buy or Target gift cards pops up. Likewise with the eBay deal for Best Buy gift cards + a bonus eBay gift card. You could have bought eBay gift cards from Target with the Red Card discount, used them to buy the Best Buy gift cards on eBay and get an extra $10 on eBay out of it, take those gift cards to Best Buy, then buy a Disney gift card, or buy an eBay gift card and cycle it through another time. Occasionally, online gift card retailers on eBay will offer deals for Target gift cards, and you'd buy those Target gift cards and use them together with the Red Card discount to ultimately buy Disney gift cards.

This is essentially gift card churning, so retailers often limit the quantity available for purchase and how much you can purchase; and there's also the issue of how long you're able to sit on certain gift cards before a deal comes up for you to convert them to Disney gift cards. If you have time, you can churn them over and over for a higher percentage savings.

I forgot to mention that eBay offers eBay Bucks, essentially dollars credited to your account, which are rewarded on eligible purchases per quarter that can be used toward future purchases. Occasionally eBay offers some multiplier deals on eBay Bucks-eligible purchases.

Edited to add details, clarity

Thanks for the fast replies.

Right now I have 100% in Ebay cards but I am thinking I should maybe convert 50% over to Target so I have some target cards on hand in case a good deal from there rolls around. Curious how everyone is keeping their GCs allocated. Do you guys keep everything in Ebay cards in cards waiting for those deals or does it vary?

I am keeping a lot of mine in Ebay, a decent amount currently in Kmart gc, and get many of my target gift cards from Kroger for fuel points. My Kmart will let me buy Visa gc that I can load onto my redbird to cycle even more funds, plus I use my swagbucks to get paypal to buy Target cards at Kroger.. I made 307.82 in ebay bucks last quarter, have 3500+ pending in swagbucks S&E from ebay, and made enough off ebates to pay for the items I added to get the ebates, plus my visa gc activation fees, and saved over $300 in gas to boot. I think I will be able to pay for a trip in May entirely from cycling cards for our November trip :)

DITTO! I had $400 in ebay GC left and was waiting and waiting for GCM to restock the $100 Target GC. Saw that they did this evening and bought my $400 in TARGET GC! I am going to lay low for a bit too. I've heard after the holidays some good discounts on Target GCs can be found at online reseller sites. Guess I'll just wait for then. I need a break too! Cannot wait to order from Target and rec'v my $400 in DISNEY cards! This last "round" had me sweating!

Thanks, all! Great thread. Bought my first GCs from Cardpool but they did all of this "verifying" of my identity. Did that happen with the rest of you?

Yes it did. It's pretty standard to have to verify your identity. There's a lot of fraud in gift card reselling.

I finally got one from Target.com that is not activated. I ordered 2 $100 cards, and only one is activated. Can anyone tell me the best way to go about getting this fixed?
THANKS! :)
