We're considering Harambe Market, Yak and Yeli Local Food Café, and Flame Tree BBQ. I'm leaning toward Harambe Market, but wondering if it might get uber crowded because it's new. Any thoughts?

Not thrilled by the limited menu at Harambe Market. I'm hoping they'll eventually expand it a bit. Flame Tree has always been our favourite CS there.

We are Yak & Yeti fans. It is pretty straightforward Americanized Chinese take-out food, but sometimes, there's nothing better than that. Harambe Market is also good, but it is a little scattered. Not sure what they intended, but it's almost better as a snack option if you just want to stop somewhere for a minute and grab a bite. Otherwise, you're having to stand in different lines for different foods.

Flame Tree BBQ, although we recently started eating at Yak and Yeti QS, and like it too

We LOVED the new Harambe market. The Watermelon lemonade was out of this world, as was the Large rib! Before it opened, would have agreed with Y&Y and Flametree. Can't hardly go wrong with QS at AK, second only to EPCOT in choices and variety.

I don't believe this is true. I have read that all booths can serve all the different foods.
I haven't actually eaten there yet though.
Flame Tree is our go to at AK

It is true, Harambe market is set up to look like various individual vendors. One kitchen connects them all except for the rib joint. You can order all the food from one kiosk.

Thanks for the clarification on this -- I stand corrected and will go into my shame closet for the rest of the day for spreading false implications - ha! Seriously, I'm glad to know how it actually works. They certainly make it look like you have to stand in separate lines, and when we dined there, all we ordered was the curried sausage corndog (very good, by the way) and someone else actually ordered it so I didn't even see the full menu up close. I have read several reviews of the other items, and most people seem to enjoy it, and it seems a step above (or at least different) than just a burger or hot dog or pizza. I give lots of credit to the folks at DAK for trying to expand our palates, even with quick service dining.

We had a side of giraffe poop along with the corndog, and it was also good. (R.I.P., animal scat snacks. Park guests with a sense of humor miss you.)

I was sad that this ended before we had a chance to try it. I also thought it was hilarious! (but then I ate real silkworms in Vietnam last week, so what do I know...) :yay:

Me too! I just loved the novelty of it. The ingredients sounded yummy too

Another vote for Flame Tree, although I will caution that all the seating is outdoors so if the weather is rainy or hot, it's not optimal. Second choice would be Yak & Yeti QS. Last choice would be Pizzafari. The food is fine but the seating is small and crowded, and it's just your typical greasy pizza you can find anywhere on property. Not our favorite.

Interesting that neither Pizzafari or Restauantosaurus have gotten a thumbs up. Yet. Interesting, but not surprising.
