Are there any restaurants in WDW that you won't eat at?

I've seen many threads on the best restaurants, etc. - but rarely do I see threads on the worst. Are there any restaurants, counter or table service, that you absolutely avoid?

For me, it's T-Rex. I mean, we've never eaten there - it just seems so noisy that we've not even entertained it. Our perception could be completely wrong - but I'm thinking not.

I'll be in the minority on all of these, but...

Garden Grill -- Bad service, bland food, awkward semi-circle booths, characters okay. Only TS the whole family walked out of and agreed never again.

Cosmic Ray's -- Food was so bad that my entire family ended up throwing away their meals. Crazy crowded, loud, messy. Food just disgusting. When my DS15 who eats anything wouldn't eat it, I knew it was bad!

Chef Mickey's -- Mediocre food, loud, chaotic, disgustingly dirty. Tried it several times, thinking we just kept having one of "those days", but after three tries, we've given up.

BTW -- T-Rex is very loud, but we actually had some really good food there and the best service of that trip!

T-rex was one of our best meals much to my amazement. I had only booked it for the experience and was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely go back!

I'm with you on Chef Mickey's and Garden Grill. Of the restuarants we've eaten at - Chef Mickey's was probably the worst. Garden Grill not far behind. That said, I love Cosmic Ray's. A trip to WDW isn't the same without a little Sunny Eclipse.

Won't eat at, as in even if someone else was paying? Probably not.

But I've read enough terrible reviews of Chef Mickey's, Tony's, and Hollywood & Vine to make me never want to try those restaurants if given a choice. There are plenty of other WDW restaurants (TS and CS) that get good reviews, and I'd rather dine at one of those. If someone I was going with really wanted to eat at CM, Tony's, or H&V, and/or if someone else was paying, I'd give them a try.

Crystal Palace dinner was our worst. We don't mind Chef Mickey's, but we only do breakfast there, and definitely don't get the powdered eggs, so it's harder to screw up the Mickey waffles, and fruit. Of course we do it for the characters for our kids.

We went to TRex about a year and a half ago and it's the one place so far in Disney I will absolutely NOT go back to. So so food and incredibly loud. Just constant bleeding eardrum loud. Somehow my three year old daughter sleep through dinner.

I actually thought Crystal Palace was pretty good for a buffet.

I enjoyed Crystal Palace and Garden Grill. Actually every table service I have tried has been good. A few dishes I tried I didn't care for on different buffets, but just my preference.
We did have some chicken fried rice from lotus blossom in Epcot that was not good. I doubt I'd order that again.

If I could like your comment ten times I would.
I agree COMPLETELY with your cosmic rays comment. ThAt is exactly what I say, you're not at WDW until you are watching Sonny and eating that great meal. Always one of my first meals of the trip.

la hacienda for me. I was excited for that one. Got a horrible server. Completely forgot my kids meal. He was then annoyed when I reminded him of it. All the food came out cold. Server seemed completely annoyed to fix it. It's probably the only meal I can ever say I never left a tip at. It's super hard to get a former waiter to skip a tip entirely.

The only place that comes to my mind is the McDonald's located near the All Stars (assuming it's still there). There are a few other places that I didn't necessarily care for (e.g., 50PT), but if someone in my group really wanted to go, I'd probably be willing to give them a second chance.

Prime Time (don't care for the shtick), chef Mickeys (poor reviews), Epcot chinese/Japanese restaurants (I'm really picky about both cuisines and cynical about how they would be).

I would agree with Hollywood and vine. We have done it at least 3 times and no good every time. Most of the time we just did it for the fantastic package. Now that I think about it we only did it once but mama melrose was very bland as well. Got Hollywood brown derby this time so excited to try that
