It's a double-edged sword.

Rumors of the past only quoted the public date and never the Visa date, now I know why.

I would rather spend a few mornings making deadend phone calls, than to miss out on getting a promotion!!

I logged in to my chase account, payed off my balance and snooped around for any updates...Nuthin'

Keeping my eyes peeled for anything, but as of right now, I refuse to spend an hour on the phone to get a po'ed CM.

rolled my ankle yesterday, thinking it's a second degree sprain, so i'm stuck in this chair again today. Was hoping that I could get some FD booked and be productive. I work on a ranch, so being "one footed" is not a good thing. sigh.

i just called as well.... i asked for pins attached to my account so i would not piss them off! haha she said no pins. she asked what i was looking for i told her free dining... she said keep checking back. then i said we have a disney visa do they have any offers? she said let me check, she said not today. i said "ok just trying to keep the cost down its our first time bringing the kids". she said i dont blame you try back in the morning!!

It just sucks because it ends up being $800 more to go down to a value that way when you factor in upgrade and tips.... and if you keep quick service it's still more expensive than POR with FD.

I think I am just going to hope for a good RO discount at this point.

Totally agree. And my DH strongly dislikes the All Star resorts and he would rather not go than stay at one. Our kids are still so small (in my opinion) to be staying in 2 rooms at Pop, not to mention the extra cost. Oh well... I love this thread and it's provided a lot of fun the last few weeks!

I promise people I would never do this to anyone. Check my past post, you will find that I am not just pulling peoples leg. I must have gotten some serious pixie dust this morning. When my groups are over I will call back and change something and see what the CM says. I did not get dates, just mine. I was in a real hurry, I am at school and my first group starts at 7:15 so was trying to get off the phone.

My dates are Sept 30-Oct 12
Hoping that possibly resorts were not fully loaded yet and that we can still get into POR

To be completely honest, if I had 30% off POFQ... I would stick with that... Especially since it looks like the option for the only real moderate is CSR that might be included in free dining... I am short enough than I would fit on a twin... However I am the exception (I am a whole 5'1) my fiancés feet would hang right off!

I just got off the phone with one of the sweetest CMs I've ever talked to. After joking about getting up early to call and at least being able to enjoy the sunrise she finished up by saying "Sweetie, tomorrow's sunrise will be even better and definitely worth it!". Take it for what it's worth but hopefully code for.....it's coming tomorrow!

Ok...going to rant for a moment...everyone needs to remember that Joe only passes along what he hears. If you want to base your entire trip on what he says that's fine. But don't backlash when it doesn't happen. And for the few that managed to get some serious pixie dust today...CONGRATULATIONS! Ignore the comments and smarta$$ remarks. We all know Disney has no rhyme or reason to anything they do. FD will be released, I believe that. When??? That's up to Disney and only Disney. Ok done rant. Have a great day!!!!!!

Ugh we have 30 percent off pofq I' don't think ill switch resorts its still a rare discount for pofq . I wanted free dining but im not,that open to,changing resorts . We like the boat rode to,disney springs aka,Downtown

That's what we got with a room only bounce back offer for POFQ. I ran the numbers and it's only about a 100-200 savings based on what meals we eat to get free dining. Not really enough to change other than to Riverside.

I remember during my haitus from the Dis, there were always those doing these predictions but never gave the visa date. Did everyone just start calling a week before the rumored date until they hit it?

I always thought it was good to come up with a possible Visa date, even though they have excluded it in the past, but it seems to be pretty futile these days. Maybe that's why the rumors of the past didn't include the Visa information at all.

In any event....perhaps it should've always been "May 7 for public and may come sooner for Visa". But to me, that wasn't very helpful.

I believe you. When you get your email confirmation, though, really check it. In the past, I have specifically requested a particular code and when my email came through I realized the CM booked something very different without telling me.
In my case, It was a lot of work, but I did finally get it fixed. Never any guarantees, though. It's all code availability and resort availability.

The other possibility is that you actually do have free dining. Maybe through a glitch or whatever. Last July when the military discount was renewed, it was an odd roll out. A few people got it early, then no one could get it, and then suddenly it was available.

The only thing for certain is that the WDW website really isn't the best source for information, no matter what the CM's say. They may diss the interwebs, but information travels much faster at the DIS.

I really hope it is! However, have a backup plan just in case... That way you don't end up making a quick decision to switch to another resort that ends up costing more or is not what you want.

There def seems to be a lot of hinting from the friendlier CMs about calling tomorrow!
