YOLO Part Dos -- A Journey Beyond Your Wildest Imagination Updated 9/9 Trip Video

as i sit here at the horsespital waiting for my shift to begin, i am overcome with a fit of hilarity at the sight of brittany planking that troll. she just cracks me up with every planking photo. that girl was born to plank. just a guess, but i'm thinking that viking wasn't looking for love. methinks he had his eye on your school bread. but if he made a move for that heavenly pastry my money would be on you, especially if you were packing heat (i.e. 357 comb) from your photos i see not much has changed. vikings still plunder, loot, kill, and like the company of ladies. also it's nice to see you turning your life around. seeing you sharing your school bread with a chinese goat really warmed my heart. me, i have to watch the norvay film every trip. my ancestors would probably be a little p.o.'d if i didn't. anyways i enjoy watching it. i'm with you on those norvay fragrances. i've been buying Geir for several trips now. i'm currently out, which pleases my wife immensely. for some reason she detests it. but come september i'll be smelling like a norwegian. that troll topiary bears an uncanny resemblance to me, even to the 4 toes and 4 fingers. not to mention that nose. you got some great pics. ya gotta love those sunny florida days.

i used to go into the stave church and listen to the music and let my thoughts wander to the land where my folks came from. before they changed the display they used to have a picture of a churchyard. i could feel an emotional pull as if my ancestors were calling from that distant land. holy cow! would you look at me getting all mystical. well it turns out they weren't calling at all. i had indigestion from eating at the nine dragons earlier. anyways i went into the puffin's roost and asked about the music they played in the church. they didn't have it in the store but they ordered me one. it came a few weeks later. i still listen to it although i don't get mystical much these days. to prove my point. i concur completely that brittany was spot on with that troll topiary; right down to the iphone he had in his left hand and those buck teeth.

yes it's me again. i'm like a bad penny i am. it seems that there ain't a lot of posting on your norway update. where is the love? am i the only one besides you that will wrap their arms around this country's pavilion and show them true love? i ain't ashamed to say it, i LOVE norway. now it's out there. now the world knows. but do i care? nah, not really. i just needed something to do while my coffee was making. keep up the good work xoSamma. i'm having a ball reading your trip report.

I fell behind there for a bit but it looks like I'm all caught up for now!

I absolutely love all of your pictures, they're so unique! Haha, and I will probably steal the 'be that statue" idea for the next trip, it;s just awesome!!

Looks like a great Epcot morning so far, with lots of snacks of course, as that's all Epcot's about!

Then this happened…

Personally I think she nailed it, as well as a guy that was walking passed. He just kept looking back and laughing, obviously he has never heard of a little game called Be That Topiary.

:lmao: That's awesome! Prior to reading your TR's I might have had the same reaction to seeing anyone play Be That Statue/Topiary!

Yay for Norvay!

Subbing! I have to agree...that Norway movie is pretty intense. ;) I LOVE the Be that Topiary game - we have totally played that in my fam too. :rotfl: Also love the Space Mountain photos - too funny! You guys do the best poses in photos. :thumbsup2 Looking forward to more!

what i wouldn't give to be riding big thunder mountain instead of riding to work. i'd finish the wildest ride in the west and mosey on down to casey's corner for that all american hot dog, french fries(with cheese sauce),a big ole soda pop,and sit outside and take in the sights and sounds of my happy place. my wife called earlier and said they hit the lottery. they all chip in and get tickets from georgia. well turns out after they divy up and taxes they each get around $10.00. if they have been 6 more zeros on there i'd have told the horsespital " adios, i'm off to the world for a month". well, a fella has gotta have a plan and a dream. ah, one day!

Hi Sam, Me and my daughter are seeing Taylor Swift tonight. So glad you both enjoyed the show. I can't wait for tonight! I love her new album But we really LOVE Ed Sheeran!! Supposed to be 110 degrees today in here in New Jersey and the concert is outside.....gonna be a hot one tonight! Thanks for sharing your trip reports with us.... Love reading them!

Oh good ol' Norway. Can you believe I've seen the Maelstrom wait time actually longer than 5 minutes before?!? :scared1:

I've seen the line forever long over the summer, thank goodness you can grab a fastpass for it!

Great update! :)

Thanks

:rotfl2: I like your logic behind skipping the movie. I'm gonna have to use that from now on if anyone questions me about it.

:lmao: at the man confused by the topiary game.

:rotfl: Maybe one day I will be able to control my emotions and watch the movie.

Brittany is seriously the Disney Planking Queen! Every trip will bring a new thing to plank. I seriously need to purchase all the Laila products. I approve of you purchasing more Geir products this sept.
 I wish my ancestors came from Norway! I would feel an even stronger love towards the pavilion. You got the music?! That CM was super nice to do that!

I LOVE NORWAY!!!!
Thank you so much!!!!

Seriously I would give anything to be in the Magic Kingdom tonight, listening to the "singing bushes" and taking in the atmosphere. Congrates on the $10 winnings! Hopefully she didn't spend it on one thing.

I fell behind there for a bit but it looks like I'm all caught up for now!

Thank you so much! I like seeing what random photos we can get throughout the trip...it makes wonderful memories also.
YES! I hope you have a ball with the game as much as we do!

:lmao: That's awesome! Prior to reading your TR's I might have had the same reaction to seeing anyone play Be That Statue/Topiary!

I still think I would laugh if I saw someone playing that game. Or scream Be That Statue!!! :rotfl:

WELCOME!!! Thanks for joining along on our crazy adventure! :wave2:
Thank you so much! I think our problem is is that we can't take nice photos...

I hope you had a wonderful time and didn't melt to much at the concert! Her album is wonderful and I agree with you on the whole loving Ed Sheeran. Now talking about this concert I will have to go listen to the Red Album!! :rotfl:

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my trip reports I truely appreciate it

A Nice Stroll Around The World

We had a nice relaxing walk around the showcase, next up the outpost. There were drums to be played and creepy things to take pictures with.
Brittanys got friends on the other side!

We then found our way in Germany

While we were browsing the stores Alicia and Brittany became fascinated by the pickle tree and the pickle ornament tradition.

Our next stop was the wonderful USA, who just happened to have one of my favorite disney character in topiary form.

and for your enjoyment we may have played another round of Be That Topiary

I came prepared by wearing my toy story crew neck and toms

Goodbye America

As we were walking past Morocco we noticed that Aladdin and Jasmine were out. We didnt stop because we were on a mission to make it around the showcase and get some food

So goodbye Morocco, hello France.
Once arriving in France we noticed that Belle was out as well. Only this Belle was a very familiar Belle, she was the Belle who we surprised the previous night over in the Magic Kingdom. But what am I saying&.there is really only ONE Belle.

Brittany wanted to get a crepe so we got in line while Alicia and Andy went into the gift shop in search of a tshirt. With a sugar crepe in hand we went in search of a place to relax.

While Brittany enjoying her crepe a lady came up to her and asked where she got it. A little awkward but were always glad to help other Disney guests.

Alicia and Andy came out with no bag in hand, which means their searching was unsuccessful. As we made our way to the UK we notice the crowd that was started to form.

Its a bird, Its a plane

Its PETER PAN!!!

Tik Tok Tik Tok&

This was a fail on the be that topiary&we arent even looking the right way.
Lets try that again

While we were leaving the UK we noticed the ever famous sky writing.

What ever could it mean? YOUR PREGNANT!? Nope
As we headed back towards future world you should have seen all the people stopping to look up at the sky taking videos and photos. It seemed like they were all new to this whole sky-writing thing. Alicia ruined the secret and blurted out what it was going to say and one teenage boy got real mad. Like 99.9% of the time its about Jesus.

Goodbye Flower and Garden Festival its been fun!

Before we left we tried to get Alicia into the Butterfly home but she was not giving in. She HATES butterflies and anything buggy.

We finally made it back to future world

Love all these pictures of the topiary! I would never even think of doing that ever. I love the one where you are being the crocodile. Especially how it happens you notice the sky writing right after taking the picture lol

Love the people who are new to the whole skywriting thing. Though sometimes I think the people who fly those planes need to be more original. A huge Mickey in the sky maybe or some Disney phrase. You're flying over Disney for goodness sake!

Mmmmm, Crepes! So good and I never got to have one on my last trip :P

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

just finished reading your update. world showcase is always a favorite. the shops and the food in particular. your photo of the pickle tree reminded me of my best friends wife. her ancestry is czech/german and she always put up pickles every year out of their garden. so it was only fitting that we buy her a pickle ornament from the german pavilion. she hangs it on their christmas tree every year. that photo of the crowd at the uk pavilion, all i can say is who is that chick in the middle with the shades and funky hat? wow, that's one hot mama! you might have intended a crowd shot but you have put all us fellas in a tizzy with that innocent little photo. you needed some of me and my brother's homemade pixie dust. a little of our concoction and you could have been on the roof with peter. thanks for your approval for buying more Geir. the better half might put me on the couch til i use it up, but sometimes there is a price to be paid.

I FINALLY smelled Laila during this past trip in June. It. Was. AWESOME! I sprayed a ton on one of those tester strips and stuck it in our suitcase later on. I should find it tomorrow and see if it still has that scent. While we were in the shop, I told my husband about it, and he was like, "Why don't you get one?" Haha, then I showed him the price.

Aw, so cute you had your Toy Story shirt and shoes on to go with that topiary!

Yikes, that is a big crowd forming!

Haha, I was going to guess that's what the sky writer was writing!

Thank you! I think it gave it a nice twist to the flower and garden festival. I agree something disney related would be a nice change to the sky writing. I've never had a crepe at epcot before maybe I should.

I sometimes wish I was rich so I could shop around the showcase all day and by sometimes I mean every time I'm at Epcot. The idea to put Peter up on the roof was a great one! Now if it was the real peter pan I would be asking for your homemade pixie dust but because it was just a peter made out of plants I think it might get boring after awhile.

AHHHH!!!! isn't it the best smelling stuff ever?! I love it so much. I use to go there all the time and spray it then after loving it for so long I put it on my christmas list and got a disney gift card to go for a bottle. It was seriously one of the best purchases ever.

Great update! :)

Thank You!

Wow that is a HUGE crowd forming in that picture

Love all the topiary pictures as usual! :goodvibes

It was a good thing that we left the showcase just in time to beat the crowd.

Aw, so cute you had your Toy Story shirt and shoes on to go with that topiary!

Yikes, that is a big crowd forming!

Haha, I was going to guess that's what the sky writer was writing!

Just showing my toy story pride!
Us Disney nerds know what sky writers write I think they need to start challenging us and switch it up.

The Beginning Of Your Future

After arriving in the lovely future world we found another topiary of 2 boys who know what they are going to do today

After a quick selfies session we made our way to a place we have been going a LOT on this trip.

And where were we walking?

Oh you know just the restrooms&

When we came out Andy told us one of our friends passed by but unfortunately we did not see them.
Before we left Epcot to find some grub to eat there was still one more thing we needed to do

SPACESHIP EARTH

If you give Alicia a nice camera expect a lot of photos :rotfl:

Next thing we knew we were watching out for the moving platform and entering our time machine. Lets go learn about the past! I will not lie I was a little sleep deprived and may have closed my eyes for a bit. BUT it was only when our time machine was stuck going backwards in all those blue lights, so really I wasnt missing too much.

Dont you fret I woke up in time to see my future

After Spaceship earth we said our goodbyes to Epcot

We hopped on the monorail and rode over to the ticket and transportation center. When we arrived we saw an unusual sight of a person with a horse head. Before getting off we tried to get a photo but unfortunately it was a little dark

Once at the ticket and transportation center we walked over to the resort that we would be staying at for the rest of our stay&.SURPRISE!!!!!

There was a lot of construction going on with the refurbationing of the rooms. But no worries welcome home YOLO family!!!

And the first thing we did was enjoy our first floor patio&welcome to paradise!

Our life of the poly paradise came to an end because sadly we werent really staying there. And yes we did sit on someones patio&sorry to who evers room that was.

We didnt just walk over to the Poly to take fake vacation photos, there was a reason we were there and that reason was to find some grub

Spaceship Earth  I miss it so much! And I love your pictures even though you don't seem too happy at all with the way your future is going. ;) Well, at least Andy does!

LOL @ the guy wearing the horse head. The people you find in Disney :rotfl:

I literally thought for a second you guys were going to stay at the Poly. Well, you fooled me! Want to stay there so bad myself. But I mean, you still got some great fake vacation photos, perfect for an extra classy Christmas card :cool1:

I'm guessing there maybe some Dole Whips in your future or something delicious looking, can't wait to read about that! :mickeyjum

Oh my gosh, I was so excited for a second thinking you might really be staying at the Poly! :rotfl: That would be a YOLO trip for sure. :thumbsup2 I think it's hilarious that you got pictures on someone else's patio!

Are there Dole Whips involved in this grub?!?! ;)
